John St. Clair to visit Monday (http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2009/03/cleveland_browns_visit_with_an.html)

CLEVELAND -- John St. Clair, a 10-year veteran offensive lineman with three NFL teams, will visit the Browns on Monday, a source said.

St. Clair, 31, started 16 games at left tackle for the Chicago Bears in 2008. They wanted to bring him back as a backup and offered him $4 million over three years last month. St. Clair publicly has said he wants to stay with the Bears but he has not acted on the team's offer.

St. Clair, who is 6-5 and 315 pounds, has 55 starts in 107 career games with the Bears, Dolphins and Saints. He has also started at right tackle and guard.

The Browns on Friday signed Seattle free agent lineman Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack. They also released right tackle Kevin Shaffer.

He's played LT, RG, and RT in his career

Again, wouldn't be a sexy signing, but more depth and versatility at the G & T positions.

St. Clair certainly is a credible option. 31 isn't exactly ancient for an o-lineman. Especially on the right side. It makes sense considering it's a glaring need, as long as the money is right. It would quiet the "Lets draft a RT so we can pay him top 5 money" talk. Anyone know what his injury history is like?

5 games missed in 7 seasons

After just a brief look, only thing I could find right away was a sprained ankle/knee back when he was w/ Miami
