Anyone have one or have played with one? Are they worth it? They don't seem overly expensive (cheaper than a 32 gb ipod) and it seems like they are quite capable. I haven't played a handheld since the original gameboy. I'm going on deployment next month so I figured it would be something nice to have to pass the time. I could play MLB The Show all day.

I have tried one out once. They have graphics that are as good as the PS3, it has 3G, and the controls are amazing. Definitely worth it.

My freind has one. Showed me it, but wouldn't let me use it (fucking douche). The graphics looked pretty good for a hand held. I am intrigued by it because of the ability to play wirelessly with your PS3 games. Seems like it would be great for long drives, or camping. My biggest complaint with the PSP was always that I couldn't play my PS3 games on it, but Vita kind of fixed that problem.

I would say if you can't live without gaming then you should get one, but if you can survive without it then don't waste your money.

He wouldn't be a friend of mine :chuckles:. If I was that anal, I wouldn't even show my friends to begin with.

I bought one when it first came out and I love it. I picked up Uncharted and Rayman and both are great. When I'm playing Uncharted, I keep having to remind myself that I'm playing on a handheld and not a console.

Kids growing up today have it fucking made. I still remember playing Pokemon blue on my fat Gameboy with all those shitty accessories they used to have. Like the screen magnifier and those bendy night lights.

Kids growing up when you grew up had it made too. When I was kid, we watched B&W TV that had 3 stations that all went off at 11:00. Pong was the first video game I ever played, but that wasn't until I was in my teens...

Is he a third grader?

Not physically, just mentally. He's not really a freind perse. More of an aqcuatance. I went to high school with him, and he is still stuck in it. Lives with his parents, sleeps until 1500-1600 every day. I see him every once in a while, and I feel almost obligated to hang out with him, so I do.

Will this thing be able to have emulators on it? Would be sweet to be able to play old NES, SNES, and 64 games.
