The unofficial Farewell Mike Holmgrend thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I personally consider Holmgren's tenure a success. The reason for that is his first move here was firing the entire scouting department. Scouts who were picked by the NFL for the expansion Browns before we even had an owner. Scout's who all came from losing backgrounds. For that alone his tenure here was a success.

How would you guys feel if Holmgren ended up coaching another team in the near future? Would it piss you off? He didn't seem to be too committed here. I didn't care that much because, as I said, if he wasn't coaching I didn't want him that involved in the front office. His drafts in Seattle were awful. Well Haslam brought up his retirement, Holmgren never said it himself. He was asked about whether or not he wanted to coach again and he certainly seemed interested in the idea.

I have mixed emotions about his departure. He said he needed five years and he only got three. While he did hire Heckert, he hasn't proven anything either. They win and fail as a team. I think one of their biggest mistakes was not bringing in a vet WR.

The dudes down here on sports radio are pushing hard for Holmgren to coach since he "has a history" with Jerry Jones. FWIW.

What's his history with Jerry Jones?

I dont think he'd go there though IMO

I think he's done. This was his last stop, unless Dallas wants to give him the president position.
