It's that time of the year again! Some conference tournaments are already underway and tickets start getting punched this weekend.

Any big college basketball and march madness fans in here that are anxiously awaiting Selection Sunday and the greatest 4 day sports weekend of the year as much as I am?

Prolly 90% of the members. Don't have the time to follow college basketball but come tournament I always find time. Saying I'm excited is an understatement.

Kentucky v. the field...

All I want is the Buckeyes to not get upset in round one, and to see a Duke v. Kentucky matchup.

Duke is going to get beat by a team that they shouldn't get beat by, that is my only prediction.

I'll root for the cinderella team that goes deep into the tourney

Hopefully it is someone cool like FGCU was

2 out of the last 3 years they lost to a 15 seed Lehigh and 14 seed Mercer. If they get a similar type small-mid major conference team with a lot of experienced seniors... it certainly could happen again.

Unless the Buckeyes make a major move in the B1G tournament, or beat Wisconsin tomorrow... they'll likely be in the 7-9 seed range. The Buckeyes are a weird team this year. I could see DeAngelo putting the team on his back and the Buckeyes making a nice run to the Sweet 16 or even Elite 8, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see them flame out in round one.

I mean, that's what it comes down to. If D'Angelo isn't dropping at least 25 then we aren't beating a good team.

Really wish I could see this Buckeyes team play with capable bodies at the 5.

Daniel Giddens is coming a year too late.

Words cannot begin to describe how excited I am that I am this close to never watching Amir Williams ever again...such a waste of an athletic 7 feet. I wish Jae'Sean Tate had his body type.

Very thankful this is the last home game I have to watch these seniors. Incredibly dissapointing class.

I'm not sure you can keep Loving on the team after this year. His lack of effort is unacceptable. He plays like he's been shot with a horse tranquilizer.

Time to start recruiting some shooters. And a big that isn't embarrassingly incompetent would be nice.

I know it's very unlikely, and that most NCAA tournament "experts" who look at complete resumes like RPI/SOS/non-conf SOS/etc feel it's a long shot, but I really hope that Murray State gets a surprise at-large bid come this Sunday. The team won 24 straight games (last loss being in Nov.), went undefeated in the regular season in their conference, and sports one of the top collegiate players in the country in Cameron Payne... all to lose their automatic bid on a fluke last second 3 pointer to Belmont in their tournament final. IMO, this is what the First 4 round was made for.

Sure, their resume numbers stink for the most part, but come March Madness time give me a potential bracket busting mid major like Murray State with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove over some lifeless 18-14 major conference team like IU, Texas, or Miami (FL). Teams like VCU and LaSalle have proved the past couple years that being a controversial mid major "last 4 team in" can make for some great tournament moments. It would be a shame to see a kid like Cameron Payne who can take over a game not get to showcase his skills under the brightest lights.
