If you could bring back any previous Cav for this next season.

Who would you bring back?

To kill off older RCF members with sports-induced hypertension it's gotta be:

1. Sasha Pavlovic
2. Delonte West
3. Larry Hughes
4. JJ Hickson's hands

Special Mention: Eric Snow as our shooting coach; Wally Szczerbiak's air highfiving

But seriously, it's Z. No contest. If Arvydas Ilgauskas comes back, we don't have to overpay Mozgov.

I'm going with SF Mike Mitchell.

Can you imagine those small ball lineups? LeBron at the 4, Mitchell at the 3. Yikes.

Most people don't think about Mitchell because the Cavs traded him so early in his career but he was really, really talented. He also fill our biggest need IMO, which is a SF who can not only lengthen LeBron's career but also play at a high level at the 3 during stretches where we go small.
The only correct answer is a SF. The only position they don't a viable backup.

I concur. It would be a nightmare for defenses. He and Love would be best buds I think. Outside Z, I'd say:

Hot%20Rod_zpsgxfpytl8.jpg

Pair Hot Rod with TT on the second unit and shit is getting blocked and the boards crashed. Moz and Hot Rod protecting the rim 48 minutes a game. Moreover, Hot Rod's post-game also allows TT to do what he does best (other than have his shot blocked): No pressure to score and be there for the Offensive Rebound in the event of a miss.

I think Hot Rod would be a better version of Tristan. He is better defensively, better offensively, but not as good of a rebounder. Also, we already know he was willing to accept a bench role and flourish in it. Further, he truly could play center, not just be a pf out of position.

Larry Nance is intriguing because he was a outside shooter, defensive beast a good rebounder, probably the most under rated cav of all time. But, he really cant play center, not really a bench player, and really a Kevin Love replacement, not a Tristan improvement like Hot Rod.

Craig Ehlo or Larry Nance.

Craig Ehlo had a very similar game to Shumpert. I like his game, but think he is a bit redundant. What is interesting is no one is saying Daugherty or even Z. Brad is easily the best center this franchise ever had when he was healthy.

That said, i am still going with Hot Rod. Perfect to back up both pf and center.

Another sharpshooter to spread the floor for Lebron and Kyrie... Wes Person.

Actually, Lee, a couple of people mentioned Z. But, I don't understand all these people passing on Brad. He'd be my first choice. I'd take the prime version of him. The one that shot .571 from the field for two straight years. Had a .635 TS and over 4 assists a game his 27 year old season. That's the one I'd want. See, I am concerned about what we'll see from Andy this season due to that Achilles injury, and Sasha would be in his first year here. Plus, Moz is recovering from off season surgery. You grind minutes from Mr Daugherty and mix in all the other pieces at center around those minutes. This way, you could choose to only play Andy at PF to reduce wear on him and bring him along slowly. We'd have tons of front court depth. Plus, Brad moves pretty damn well on the break for someone his size.

Yea.....talk about redundancy. We have Z v2.0++

Moz is coming off knee-cleanup....not knee surgery, FWiW.

I think I'd go with Wiggins, Higgins.

Can you imagine a LeBron and Daugherty pick and roll?
Or Daugherty with the ball at the top of the key hitting a cutting Lebron?

I like the thought of Mitchell, Ehlo, Nance and Hot Rod but I have to go with Daugherty.

Another one would be a healthy Andy.

A healthy Brad would be instead of Moz, and Moz is the better rim protector. I would still say hot-rod fills our biggest need as the backup pf/c. Tristan would not be needed, and would fit in perfect with the current team.

Another one would be Mark Price as the backup pg/sg. Its a role i think Mo will fill well, but Mark would be an improvement.

That said, it shows how loaded this team is. Maybe Nance is a slight improvement over Love because of Defense, but that is debatable, Kyrie is the best pg this team has had, and it includes some pretty good pg's, you can make a case for Lebron to be the best ever. Harper would be nice for sg as he could defend, moving Iman to the bench, but Shump is a nice piece, and Moz is the best defensive center we have had, including Brad.

SO, the piece we would want is for bench,. so you are looking at players like Ehlo, Nance (on bench), Harper, Jim Chones, Austin Carr etc to fill out the bench, and i think the perfect bench compliment for the current team would be Hot Rod.

Wow, this team is really loaded when that is your answer, not the Hot Rod is a bad player by any means.
