If you could bring back any previous Cav for this next season.

Larry Nance isn't playing small forward in this era of NBA. Back in the 80's and 90's teams got away with playing power forwards at small forward because of the rule differences and less emphasis on perimeter play and shooting. You're much more likely to see him move up a position to center as that is the way things have evolved. There aren't going to be many people in this NBA that would abuse him at center so his quickness and athletic advantage would be significant and you want him closer to the hoop on defense to block shots.

I think you could play Tristan and Nance together for spells because Nance does at least have a mid range shot. You would have a lot of athleticism at 4 and 5 with those two out there.

I think you're wrong about Nance not being able to play the 3 today- at least when he first came to Cleveland and was younger. He was a slim guy - playing weight under 220 for much of his career. And he was very athletic, winning the first ever slam dunk competition.

He was only 28 when he came to the Cavs, and here are his per 36 that first season: ,539 FG%, 80% FT%, 8.3 boards, 2.9 blocks, 17.9 ppg. And a very smart player.

Let TT back up Moz, and have Nance backup Love and LBJ. Nance in a modern day small ball lineup would be absolutely devastating because of his length and rim protecting abilities that most small ball lineups lack. Not sure if it is still true, but when he retired, he was the best shot-blocking forward ever.

Tyrone hill for undisclosed reasons

I'd bring back Heath. His posts in the LeBron Safari would've been epic.

Added a poll, unfortunately I maxed out the number of choices. I wanted to have at least 1 more to go to Mike Mitchell, so it looks like "other" will have to suffice. Wiggins has shown up here multiple times, so maybe it needs to be addressed again? He only played for the summer league team, so would you want summer league Wiggins? Or even the Wiggins that played for the wolves at 18/19; which goes against the original rules set forth? This is only for this next season and there are way better selections than summer league teenage Andrew Wiggins.

You seem overly concerned about people choosing Wiggins in your made up scenario.

As i was to young to watch harper, price, nance and the others I don't feel justified in choosing one. . But I will have to go with Ben Wallace... One of my many unexplainable favorite cavs. I was so excited bring him here. And he would fit well with this team. The only guy that I have seen that made lebron look scrawny. Let the first who doesn't have a random favorite cav throw the first stone.

Bobby Phils in his prime was a very very solid two way player. Pre injury Brad would probably be it for me though the more I think about it. He could demand double teams and it would make our offense unstoppable in the half court. Irving Love Smith would get wide open looks and the D would not be able to swift their D to lebron all the time. It would be epic. Give me Phils and Brad D I think we win 72 games.

Kemp could be interesting if he wouldn't be a bad influence. He still had a lot of talent when he was in Cleveland, just started to eat too much. Still at first he put up good numbers, could provide some low post scoring and hit a midrange shot. With Lebron as a leader he may have reached his potential.

Andre Miller would make a nice PG off the bench to control the game and run the team. Toss him out there with JR, Tristan etc and we should be able to rest Lebron and Kyrie more.

Having Z when healthy before the foot injuries would obviously be a very good addition.

Phills' prime wasn't here, though, it was in Charlotte.
