5'9...pshhh....fucking midget.
What a pussy...being 5'9...right guys?
:shifty:
I wouldn't know......I'm 6'4", maybe I should throw my name into the draft. Haven't thrown a football in years, but I am ideal size for a QB
Right there with ya but I am slightly bigger at 6'5. The only problem is being a 32 yr old rookie. Also no pass on Russel Wilson. Can we please be interested in QBs that actually have the size to play the position? Is it wrong that we should want to get a guy like Ben or Flacco?
At least I'd only be a 31 yr. old rookie LOL.
And no it's not wrong to want a QB with size. We all want a QB to be able to stand in pocket and be able to read defenses while looking over the line, not rolling out. Russell Wilson is too short to warrant a high draft pick or even a mid-round pick just due to his size, if he was even 6'2", he'd be getting hyped up about possibly being a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Since he'd most likely be about 7" shorter than most lineman, it's gonna be difficult for him to correctly read defenses in the pocket.
I'd rather a OC build a offensive gameplan around the QB, not to hide him being too short to play the position. It's bad enough right now, Childress will have to hide Colt's weak arm and he's less than 6'2". Wilson does have a stronger arm than Colt, but his height concerns me.
I may be interested in kicking the tires to see if Kap is available from SF. Otherwise we may have to come out with an answer at 4 or 22.
I don't think we have good options at 4 or 22. #4 is too high for Tannehill and I think Miami will take him #8 overall leaving no chance he drops to #22. Miami has a heads up as his college coach in now OC in Miami.
At #22 our options are weak, meaning we may have to reach if we want one of the 2nd tier QBs. Which is why I believe at #22 we target A) Playmaker B)RT C) Tanny if he happens to drop that far. At #37, I feel the FO will reach a bit to grab a QB they are interested in. I don't like 2nd tier QBs unless you're looking for a viable backup or a starter in 4-5 years. This years 2nd tier crop is a little different it seems. They all seem to carry a starter grade and not necessarily in the 4-5 year range, looking more like a 2-3 year range. At #37, I think we target QBs like Cousins, Osweiler and an outside chance of Weeden. I feel Weeden only becomes a viable option if we grab his #1 WR target from college, Blackmon, which would help ease his transition to NFL.
No, he was not even that impressive at the college level and is very undersized.
we are talking about a Great quarterback, that we can get late in the draft, it will be dumb not to go for him, he is only 1" shorter than colt, if he does bad, there will be no harm.
Wilson measured 5'10-5/8". Colt measured 6'1-1/4". Wilson is 2-5/8" shorter than our already short QB.
