Developer: Visual Concepts
Publisher: 2K Sports
Release Date: March 5th, 2013
Platforms: XBOX 360 and PS3

The $1,000,000 Perfect Game Challenge will be returning.

Clearly, MLB2K is not nearly as good as NBA2K, but guys like me who only have the XBOX are pretty much stuck with it. I'd love if The Show would move to XBOX, but that's not happening anytime soon.

I usually post a ton of stuff that nobody reads, but the Wikipedia article literally had that just the million dollar challenge was returning. So.. yeah, go ahead and discuss away.

How does the Million Dollar Challenge work? Is there anything to it other than pitching a perfect game online? How has it worked in the past?

Main reason I'm interested in the game and made the thread.

As far as I know, there is a gamemode called "Million Dollar Challenge", where it has the rules and sliders set how 2K wants it, and it's pretty much first come first serve.

When they first started this I'm pretty sure you had to video tape it too, can't remember for sure though

Damn Indians make me want to buy a baseball game.

I really hate MLB2K. Its been the same game since like 2K8. But most of the time I end up getting it around the end of June/beginning of July on ebay for cheaper. I wish they cared more about this game but they just dont. The Show is so much better and it sucks that it isnt on XBOX. Im thinking of going with Playstation when the next consoles come out just because of The Show.

Ya know, I'm pretty sure there was a post here, but all I noticed was your avatar. Hmm...

Added the Official Trailer to the original post; it includes Bourn robbing a home run and a Swisher home run.

Not overly impressed, but I'll probably still pick it up.

Pre-ordered it the day after we signed Bourn.

Hoping the shipment company screws up and sends it early.

Tons of ratings released from PastaPadre (reputable source):

Mike Trout is currently the highest rated player in the game at a 99 overall, and the only guy that hasn't been released that has a chance to tie him is Miguel Cabrera.

Swisher is the highest released Indian at an 85, although I feel Bourn will be in the 87-88 range.

Also, something that is going to annoy the absolute shit out of me: apparently 2K was too lazy to update pictures of the players for their player cards and rosters, so almost all of players hats are going to be from the past team.

Example: Swisher is going to have a Yankee hat, Bourn a Braves hat, Bauer a D-Backs hat, Choo will still be in a Tribe hat...

God I wish the 360 had the Show.

As an Xbox owner, I'll probably pick it up out of desperation for a baseball game, but damn i wish EA could make baseball games again. Its 20 f'in 13 and MVP 2005 is still the best baseball game ever made for Xbox consoles.

All of you save your money and keep 2K12 or pick it up for a cheaper price.

I'll throw a link in tomorrow, but these guys from OperationSports have been working on a fully updated roster that'll put the Astros in the AL West. They literally spend hours on each team and develop their minor league clubs and everything.

Their roster will be fully completed by Opening Day.

Here's that link: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/mlb-2k-rosters/591393-updated-rosters-2k12.html

Keep following that. From the sound of it, these guys are doing a hell of a job.

Not surprisingly, MLB 2k13 is getting panned by reviewers for being nothing more than a roster update for 2k12, except the Astros moved to the American League and David Price is now on the cover.

This of course would be mildly acceptable 2k12 (or if any of the series) was a decent baseball game, which it isn't.

Yet again, Xbox owners are screwed out of a competent baseball installment yet again. Maybe this will be the year I finally get a PS3 (should be cheaper with the new system coming out) and The Show.
