Nothing warms my cackles more than seeing the 3rd largest market in the game eliminate one of those lame midmarket teams that pretend they can compete. Now that their contention window might be closing, maybe the Pirates can get to rebuilding and shuffle their stars off to a bigger market that can afford them like, say, the Cubs.

I would prefer a best of 3 to get in a best of 5. But what can you do? I dislike the fact of winning close to 90 games or 90+ games and having your season end in one game. I don't like it on a competitive level.
