The Deluxe Expanded Edition of Purple Rain was released Friday. 3 Discs and a DVD.

Disc 1 - a remastered version of the original Purple Rain
Disc 2 - a full album of previously unreleased Purple Rain era music.
Disc 3 - previously released Purple Rain era single edits, b-sides and 12" versions of both.
DVD - Prince and the Revolution Live from the Purple Rain tour.

I really can't say how much better the Purple Rain remaster sounds because I've been strictly listening to disc 2. One clear standout on disc 2 is the full version of Computer Blue (the version in Purple Rain is an edit). Over the years Computer Blue has been steadily climbing towards the top of my list of favorite Prince songs, this full version may just put it there.

I highly recommend this. Purple Rain, the movie and the album, are what made me a lifetime Prince fan.

Those unis are sweet.

Between those, the Heat’s Miami Vice themed jerseys, and the Pacers’ Hickory High throwbacks from Hoosiers, 80s pop culture nostalgia seems to be having a moment in the NBA :chuckle:

The 80s are back in general.

Minus the AIDS. And a functioning government. Lol.
