I need a new TV series to watch. I just finishing watching Rome for the 2nd time and that show is great. I have gone through the Wire and the Sopranos twice also. What show do you recommend? I like a good cop drama. I loved the Unit, really wasn't a cop show. I was disappointed when I heard they weren't bringing it back for a 5th season. So what do you recommend? I have watched Eastbound and Down and that was hysterical. Is Six Feet Under Any good? Does HBO and / or Showtime have any good shows out? Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jon

Im an unabashed Dexter fan.

Even though it is over The Shield was a brilliant show. The seasons should be out on DVD. Right now Im back into Sons of Anarchy since the new season started last week.

It's always sunny in Philadelphia. You're welcome.

Always Sunny In Philadelphia = Gold
Burn Notice = Awesome

Dexter's great. Can be a bit rough if you're squeamish, but other than that, it's quite good.

Burn Notice is well-paced and fun.

Six Feet Under can be a bit slow, but the plot is well executed, and the characters are well developed.

Mad Men is fucking awesome. Great plot, super character development. Written/developed by Matthew Weiner, formerly of Sopranos fame.

what's that about?

Dexter- A forensic specialist that's a serial killer.

Entourage- A movie star and his friends.

Weeds- A milf sells weed.

30 Rock- An NBC show about making a Saturday night live type show.

Curb- Seinfeld, but R rated.

If you're in to the doctor drama/comedy thing, House is an awesome show.

The new season premiers on the 21st, and there are five seasons to date(seasons 1,2,4, and 5 are awesome...3 is decent but could be better)

If you haven't watched Lost from the beginning, you need to do that. If you're a TV Show fan, you've probably been on that for awhile though.

I'm watching the Wire right now and loving it... sooooo good. Don't know too many shows that compare to that.

Did you ever watch Arrested Development? You need to if you haven't. It's a serial show too, so you need to start with episode 1.

30 Rock is top notch, especially once you get to know the characters.

If you enjoy that, watch Better Off Ted. Smart writing by the same guys in charge of Arrested Development. Portia de Rossi is one of the main characters here as well.

You have to give it a chance though.

That show is just too confusing...

Californication: Stars David Duchovny (formerly of X-Files) who is a book writer that is in love with his baby-mama but she won't have him so he bangs a bunch of strange on the side. Great comedy. It's on Showtime though so that may be an issue.

Also, for any of you guys that don't have cable/movie channels, I recommend www.oviguide.com to watch episodes of anything. It's basically a compilation of every site that hosts tv shows/movies. Make sure you click "most visits" for the best sites.
