2010 Indians Game Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I must say, I am more curious than I am excited for this season to start. Not really anything to be excited about IMO. I am just curious to see how everyone does individually.

I just want to see coherent baseball without Eric Wedge losing his mind three weeks into the season and destroying the team with unforgivable decisions.

Acta, IMO, already is off on the wrong foot with the line-up.

Brantly/Asdrubal/Grady/Hafner/Choo/Peralta/LaPorta/Grudz/Marson makes too much sense as a line-up, yet he's not using it.

How does Brantley being in leadoff make sense? Besides, you only bat leadoff once every game. The lineup you have listed there is basically what the lineup will be after 8 batters.

I think they groomed Cabrera for the leadoff spot in ST because they didn't think Brantley would be in Cleveland for a couple of months. Once they were sure that Branyan was out, which was like a week ago, they had to integrate Brantley into the lineup.

I think they're looking at Brantley's lack of time in the bigs as well, and thinking he could use some time at the bottom of the order where there is less stress than leading off.

Personally, I'm OK with these decisions. I think that Brantley will surprise everyone again this season, though, just like he did in September last year.

Somebody call a shot.

Who's going deep today?

Im gonna say Laporta and Grady.

He's always good for a homer in CHI to. Greg Brinda also called a Hafner shot.

Tribe will be down by 8 runs by the 5th inning.

I keep trying to tell you guys...

This is the kind of team that gives up a double and a two run homer in the bottom of the first inning of opening day.

Thanks for the bright, optimistic outlook.

The game and the season just started. Let's not read too much into it. Jake hasn't pitched in two years in a real game. He's nervous.
