2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If either Drummond or Robinson are taken at either 2 or 3, then that would be one of the dumbest trades in Cavs history.

I disagree.

Obviously, one of the reasons teams stockpile draft picks is so that they can use them to move up to select a player they're enamored with. If, for instance, the Cavs have both Davis and MKG rated as significantly higher than anybody else on their draft board, and if they can use the 4, 24, and 33 picks to move up to 2 to make sure they get MKG, then they would be dumb NOT to do it.

However, if they have MKG, Beal, and Drummond rated fairly evenly, THEN it becomes a dumb move to trade extra picks to move from 4 to 2.

still there is a reason he is the 1st highlight. Does not mean he is there pick for sure. But the marketing people think he is the guy to draw attention to the 2md pick.
It shows highlights of several prospects, not just MKG.

still there is a reason he is the 1st highlight. This is obvious and they will try to spin.

Probably because whichever intern put the video together ended up compiling MKG footage first. IF you think Rich Cho or any of their top basketball operations people had anything to do with this video or daily maintenance of the website then you're out of your mind.

There's also lots of people that think Portland (#6) and Goldenstate (#7) are ready to trade picks for vets.

If Andy hadn't ended the season injured, he would be a nice trade asset to add to an offer for a lottery pick, though still probably not as high of a pick as one of these. As it stands, however, I don't see the oft-injured fan favorite going anywhere this off-season, nor do I see any other assets that would be palatable to a team looking for vets in exchange for their picks. Which sucks.

You guys would be very good at "jump to conclusions"

Tough call to give up #24 to move up 2 spots. If we do it means we dont think anyone in the late first round is worth much or we think whoever we want at 2 is a serious game changer for our team. I think I'd rather sit tight, see what happens, and maybe try to trade for another pick with AV, Boobie, salary dumps, etc.
