2012 NBA Free Agents

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What is so wrong with Spencer Hawes if you can acquire him at the right price?

He's simply not that good. Not a great athlete, bad defender. He's maybe a 3rd tier player. If he's not the answer why bother?

Our FO should take a look at Mirza Teletovic SF/PF (he were at draft 2007, and he was undrafted so we can take him this year as FA, also Nets are very interested in him). Mirza Teletovic (26 years old, 6'9 240 lbs) is one of the best Euroleague players, and sure he is better than players that we have now except Kyrie, Gee and AV. He is great shooter with really unlimited range, something like young Rashard Lewis.

Kwame Brown is probably the best free agent we'll attract:thumbdown Ah well. next year is a big man draft.

I'm pretty sure Teletovic is signed for another couple years and has no real interest in coming to the NBA before then. If he did want to, and the price was reasonable, I'd be all for bringing him over.

I think he has 2 years left on his contract, but there is some clause that he can left Caja Laboral for any NBA team. I am not 100% sure, but Nets trying to sign him, and i am sure he is prepared for NBA now. Many articles in my country are saying about it, about interest from several NBA teams, and i think he could be signed for something about 3-4 million per year, like his salary is right now, and i am sure that we cant sign better player for that amount of money (except rookies but they are not for free or some old vets like Ray Allen, but Allen type of players doesnt coming to our team).

Here is what i find out Mirza Teletovic, Caja Laboral, News, Stats, Rumors, Awards - RealGM he is like Unrestricted Free Agent for every NBA team.

Edit: I am 99% sure that his contract with Caja Laboral is expired, i just red article about his contract status from 1 Bosnian reporter.

"So I was n twitter and look what I saw... This makes sense for the Suns but not for Alonzo... Why would he go to an aging team with Nash possibly leaving.

Suns express interest in Cavs forward Alonzo Gee - NBA - Sporting News"

for money.

But we could pay him the same here and have a better shot at winning. He is IMO a valuable part of the team. Whether he starts or comes off of the bench.

Also, about Gee, he plays SF but IMO he's better suited for a SG position. Improve his 3-pointer a bit and we have a starter (Unless we draft Beal) but if we take MKG (who's 6'7 and bound to grow more) put MKG at SF because of size and his lack of shot, and put Gee as your SG.. I want Gee and TT together in the second unit. It would be GREAT. Draft a back up PG in the second round and sign a FA like Carl Landry, we are set! But too bad its not that easy. Drafts can go hundreds of different ways.

Only guy I want on that list is Ersan Ilayasova. That dude is a great player. He gets boards and shoots with good efficiency.

On the flip side, if you want to see a mans "competition" see Luke Harangody vs Milan Macvan 2013. Most beers drank after one week wins.

Winner: Macvan euro blood/alcohol tolerance prevails over Harangody's 'south bend nights'

Totally agree with this post. We need to get Ersan Ilayasova who can shoot well at the outside three. Hopefully the Cavs make a run at least one or two free agent players.

i like Ilyasova but i read somewhere that he's gonna command at least 8mio a year and i just don't think he's worth that...

If the cavs threw max money at hibbert he would be a cavalier. not sure he's worth it, but hibbert is a better investment than hughes and marshall that they dumped 15 million a year into. so i'd say the cavaliers would be being smarter with money than they have been.

If we got Hibbert, we would be an Immediate playoff team. Here's why:

1. He's a top 5 big man
2. Hard to match up with him
3. Trade AV for a position we need more
4. Hibbert is a try-hard (in a good way)
5. He could attract more FA's
6. He shoots the mid-range all right(ish)
7. Dominates the paint and the boards
8. We would keep all of our picks (because he's a FA and we wouldn't have to trade for him.
9. I think that with Kyrie, our picks, TT, and Gee, we are as good of a team as the Pacers. IMO

Absolutely. We'd be a contender for the foreseeable future if we signed Hibbert.

This is why I love our Euro friends. They understand Euro basketball far better than anyone on here and give us great insight into something we just dont genearly get.

Thanks for telling us about Mirza, he does sound like he is worth a shot. Adriano, can you tell us what his game is like? Some stats? is he a shooter? ball handler? athletic? You mentioned he is long, but I am just curious.

I will flat out say that getting Hibbert, and taking Beal/MKG would make us a top three team in the East instantly. That's a pretty scary thought, honestly.
