Maybe this is not Spoelstra's fault.

Anyone else have a suspicion since the 2011 NBA Finals loss, that Dan Gilbert is paying a team of coaches to study game tape and find ways to beat the Miami Heat, and then send the notes and game tape to the enemy Coach?

For instance, a team of coaches start studying game tape and put their minds together for a Dallas-Miam0 or Boston-Miami series, and then send all of those notes to Carlisle or Doc Rivers to help them beat us and outcoach us.

So then Spo would be fighting against a lot of basketball minds and it wouldn't be fair.

It's just a crazy thought I had, but Dan Gilbert DID promise we would never win a championship. and it IS kind of weird how much this team has not played up to expectations.

Dan Gilbert and his Legion of Doom ...
Meanwhile at the Super Heat Friends...

Good Job, Great Effort by the Heat fans.

KG - any hate we Cavs fans had gas turned into respect
Allen- thanks for playing through the ankle injury
Pierce - you fucking catfish flopper, figures you're a fish cause you're cold blooded
Rondo - unreal, that tip to pietrus was bosslike
Pietrus - you fucking asshat, wish you'd hit less threes against us in 09
Tyronn Lue - I don't know how you're still in the league but thanks for whatever you did sitting in a suit

Goddamn what a resilient team, just one more win.

Finish him.

What is this good job good effort kid all about? Some kid said that to them?

So Batman and Robin bail on the presser and make Catwoman do the interviews?

Was it just me or did that kid who said, "Good effort, good job" sound a lot like Nick Gilbert? :chuckles:

I would disagree, citing his obnoxious fist pumps and dramatic celebration after making a contested layup in the 1st quarter.

All I remember is RuPaul, I mean Chris, making a layup while getting fouled and executing some king of high school cheerleader leg-kick while opening his dinosaur jaws as wide as he could to apparently take in this meaningless moment...and thinking...dude, it's the 1st quarter, settle down.

I have more faith in the ability of the Spurs to beat the cHeat with coaching and experience. The Thunder may be able to match the cHeat in terms of talent, but they are too green, I fear.

The Thunder present such a ridiculously tough physical and athletic challenge for every other team in the NBA, they just wear teams down. San Antonio can still win the series, but it's going to take a herculean effort. In terms of beating the Heat(If they can figure out the Rondo puzzle, no, Dwayne, dislocating his elbow is not the strategy this year), I almost think the Thunder are better positioned to make it happen.

I think OKC actually has a much better chance from a match-up and athleticism standpoint.

The Spurs don't match up well with Miami, and you would see Lebron exploit them the same way Durant has.

The Spurs just don't have that athletic SF right now to chase around the Durant's and Lebron's of the world.

OKC presents Miami far more headaches than San Antonio.

Who is going to check Russell Westbrook? LeBron? Then have Shane permanently on Durant?

Thabo/Harden is going to all but neutralize Wade.

Add in Fishers veteran presence and shot making ability.

Durant vs James edge has to go to Durant's shooting.

Ibaka will swarm Bosh. He can check Bosh all over the court. Perkins delivers the hard blows.

I would think Wade guards Westbrook when it matters, Battier on Harden, and LeBron on Durant.

Durant vs. LeBron goes to whoever gets points more efficiently and gets others involved in the game, if Durant is handling the ball a lot.

Ibaka is not a good on-ball defender. Did you see how many times he went for a block on his man tonight when the guy pump faked and then went right around him? Bosh loves the pumpfake and drive move. I would play Collison a lot on Bosh (Perkins is probably too slow) and use Ibaka for what he's good for, protecting the rim on help defense. If you put Ibaka on Bosh, first of all I think Bosh schools him one on one, and second of all if he helps off of Bosh then Bosh gets wide open shots. Put him on Joel Anthony and let him roam.

I highly disagree with that. It just doesn't add up. The only argument I'd even buy a sliver of is that it's slightly better because Durant is going to have to spend that much energy guarding LeBron, whereas Bowen and Marion weren't asked to be offensive playmakers(well, moreso with Bowen than Marion...Marion just punked LeBron on both ends).

I think the thunder will struggle against the Heat because Bosh will be back by the time that game is played, and i think defensively the heat are a better team. I also think Leonard would have a better chance physically against lebron, even though the refs will call every foul lebrons way. Boston is the last best hope to derail the ESPN train, and that hope is slim when the Miami refs will be calling it entirely Wades way.

I can promise you that Lebron wants absolutely no part of chasing Kevin Durant around for 7 games.

Leonard presents zero offensive threat, and will allow Lebron to rest on defense and save his energy for offense.

If he tries that against Durant, he will have 40 dropped on him ever night and the Thunder will roll.

Durant may be less physical than Leonard, but it is such a tougher match-up for Lebron in terms of the energy he will have to expend guarding him every night.

Dwyane Wade is NOT going to be able to check Westbrook!

I am definitely assuming OKC wins the WCF prematurely. Their home crowd is going to be INTENSE, the likes of which we haven't seen. That alone might get them emotionally over the hump in game 6.

It would have been bad if Miami got to face San Antonio in the finals. With a healthy Bosh and Duncan playing like shit, Miami might have done what OKC just did to them: run them into the ground and use their youth to beat up on the old guys. That would be a favorable matchup for Miami.

Now the path is going to be infinitely harder for the LePrincesses to get theirs. OKC has big time heart and that seriously can't be underestimated in a tense finals series.

It's a bad match up for Wade. If he ends up guarding Russell Westbrook, you might as well call the nursing home and reserve this bitch a bed! He'll need it come July.

So reactionary. The Thunder aren't in the finals yet and neither are the Heat.

Idiots.

Wade was just as scared to shoot as LeBron. The ONLY Wade did in the 4th was try to draw fouls.

Sometimes I think I hate Wade just as much as LeBron for his bitch style of play.

D-Wade is a mean-spirited and whiny bitch. #6 is just a confused Narcissist.

I love this post Jigo...reminds me of Cartman's revenge on Scott Tenorman...
