2012 NFL Draft Rumor Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We deserve Griffin. I just don't wanna trade up gotdamn't !

Depends on how much St. Louis values Kalil. Because if they don't take him, he is a mortal lock to Minnesota. Either way, I have a bad feeling someone is going to give the Rams a nice offer to pass us up. Good thing for us is that we can outbid teams like Washington.

Mike Adams just did 19 reps of 225, compared to Cordy Glenn's 31 reps. Both guys are in play for us as an RT with our #22 pick. It's a bit concerning that Adams couldn't even get 20.

Yes, because that trade last season was just terrible....

I don't have a problem taking RGIII if they think he's a franchise guy, but I do have a problem if they take him "just because."

We're in the best position to get RG3 because of that trade. Don't see how anyone could be upset over it.

Im not saying it didn't work. I wasn't a fan of some of the picks he made, but im not down on the trade. My point was, seeming to know how the Browns work, you never know what to expect from them. Whether it be good or bad. Most are expecting us to take RG3 but I would be shocked in the slighest if they went in another route. I almost expect them to.

This guy stopped in my work today and tried to tell me Griffin is the next Akili Smith and i just walked away cuz i thought he was retarded

You should have denied his request for a Frosty.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Browns general manager Tom Heckert's absence from the NFL Combine is because he had a serious surgery, the team's flagship station WTAM-AM is reporting.
Heckert is expected to make a full recovery, according to the station.
The Browns declined to comment on the specifics of Heckert's illness.
"Tom's personal medical issues are his private affair and not for the club to comment on,'' said team spokesman Neal Gulkis. "As we said yesterday, he's doing fine.''
Heckert was in his office in Berea earlier this week and is expected to be there next week too. Because he's still recovering, he was not permitted to make the trip to Indianapolis.

NateUlrichABJ More on WTAM's report about #Browns GM Tom Heckert: Mike Trivisonno said "major operation" caused Heckert to miss combine & Senior Bowl.

NateUlrichABJ WTAM's Mike Trivisonno also reported #Browns GM Tom Heckert is recovering from major surgery, working from home & should be fine.

Browns coach Pat Shurmur said Thursday he does not think Heckert’s absence at the combine will harm the Browns’ draft preparation.

The Browns began their 15-minute interviews with draft prospects Thursday night. Shurmur said Heckert will use Skype to participate in the interviews, which also will be taped, and watch the prospects work out on TV.

Shurmur said director of player personnel Jon Sandusky, director of college scouting John Spytek and assistant coaches will assume any responsibilities Heckert would have had at the combine

Just based on completion percentages, I think we'd be ok. Although the comment gave me a bad flashback.

Akili Smith also was too dumb to be able to understand an NFL playbook. I don't think RG3 will have the same kind of problem Akili did in the department.

He scored a 9 on the Wonderlic....wonder if thats the lowest ever?

Smith never passed the 26/27/60 rule which helps determine QB success. Also only 1 QB has been a successful convert from Tedford (not that it matters).

Akili was also only a 1 year wonder (1 real good year and it wasn't even that good) where as Griffin started for 4 seasons (injured as a true sophmore).

Couch scored a 22 Akili 26.

Vince Young couldn't answer more than nine questions on a wonderlic.
