While Miller has history of injuries, he played most games this year (59) since 08-09 & shot 42% on 3s. Many teams have interest.
Has a history of injurys? He'll fit right in. Lol

Re: 2013 Mike Miller Safari

Doesn't Mike Miller have a player option for next year, thus ultimately taking away from the 2014 free agency fund assuming he picks it up?

Re: 2013 Mike Miller Safari

When is it announced who put the highest bid in and gets Mike Miller? Friday?

I think it would depend on what we bid. The Heat will still be covering the rest of that contract.

And players can always be traded.

5pm Thursday, It will be a quick and painless SAFARI, Still cant believe we are having a SAFARI for MIKE MILLER!

He would be under contract for 2 years, for the amount of the winning bid. We could still trade him at the tarde deadline, as WIndysaid a lot of teams are interested.

Were the Cavs to put in a bid for Miller and win, they have nonguaranteed players they could waive to re-open space to sign Bynum

Re: 2013 Mike Miller Safari

Someone change the title...this is not a safari.

Re: 2013 Mike Miller Safari

Here is a very good breakdown from Fear The Sword as to why we had to delay the Bynum presser and contract in conection to Mike Miller.

Basically if we were to sign Bynum 1st, we would have had to cut players in advance of the waiver claim, which is dumb because 5 other teams are under the cap, so there is no guarantee our bid will win out. The cavs seem serious about this. They were planning to announce the presser today or early tomorrow, but changed plans. Looks like they will at least put in a bid! Interesting to see what the other teams under the cap will do and if they will out bid us. Not 100 percent sure about this, but as Windy pointed out he did shoot 42 percent from 3.
