2013 Movie Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm ready for this zombie fad to die. Then come back so I can shoot it in the head.

Since when do fictional movies have to adhere to the laws of physics? They're fucking zombies. As seen by their movements in the trailor, I don't think they are restricted to the same limitations that normal humans are.

For fuck sake.

This argument makes no sense. It's just lazy writing and for a kewl CGI shot.

It's fiction. And it's 2013. I'm ok with "kewl" CGI. Ever watch fiction from the old days? Brutal. Embrace the technology.

Lazy writing? You can't criticize writing on something you haven't even seen and especially not after you just wrote "kewl."

Not a 2013 movie, but I saw JJ Abrams signed on to direct Star Wars 7.

Wasn't JJ Abrams supposed to make a sequel to "Cloverfield"?

Forgot about Cloverfield. Loved that movie.

The kewl was on purpose...

That's all fine and dandy but the zombies would be crushed due to the amount of weight that's on top of them.

OMG the world must be ending because it doesn't seem plausible to you. I guess every movie ever made, must suck to you. Why even watch them?

Name me one movie that doesn't have a plot hole/something that isn't realistic that isn't a documentary/home video/live shot.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this. Definitely a different feel from your typical "Superman" movie.
I guess Clark isn't going to be clumsy.

The lead has me skeptical. I only remember him as Edmond Dontez' son, in "The Count of Monte Cristo".

Superhero movies have so much hype, and I feel that most times, they are overly hyped up. "The Avengers" comes to mind-- I went to see it, and thought it was good (crowd participation seems to sway).... Then you get home, let it marinate, sleep on it, and then realize that what you saw, wasn't even that good.

I figure that with movies like this, I need to see it well after opening weekend. But I'm very much burnt out on the superhero flicks.

Michael Shannon as General Zod is a fantastic choice, I must say.

Really hope this goes well...been waiting on it since i seen the teaser during TDKR.

I just watched Seven Psychopaths. I know Dave liked it, it's a pretty entertaining flick. Basically exactly what I expected based on the trailers. 8/10, movie just cemented how much I enjoy Rockwell. The dialogue is pretty great, a lot of solid one liners throughout. Again, mostly from Rockwell.

"Well of course I shot him in the back, I was aiming for his spine."

"He doesn't have a gay head he has a normal head."

:chuckles:
