Pelicans-Warriors after the Cavs game tonight on TNT, should be a good one also!

GS is playing incredible right now. Curry is probably going to win the MVP at this rate if they finish with the best record in the league

There's nothing that GS is poor at other than valuing the ball at times. They defend on the wings with Klay and Iggy and Barnes. Bogut mans the middle. They can string together stops all the time and then break games on offense with Curry/Thompson threes. They rebound with all their players. Tonight, Davis and Asik grabbed 30 rebounds but the Warriors out rebounded them anyway. They play with energy, get out on the break. Davis played a phenomenal game tonight and the game wasn't close.

It's hard to believe how poor the Pelicans are defensively seeing as how they have both Davis and Asik, but that perimeter defense is so bad.

They could be a Finals threat at this point. I very could see a Cavs Vs Warriors Finals before all is said and done. I think they have the best shot in the west against the Spurs this season alone. I can not wait till we play them that will be a real test.

It will be a real test. I can honestly see any of GSW, HOU with Howard, the Spurs, OKC, LAC, and MEM with a shot at the finals with maybe POR as an outside contender. Damn that's an amazing conference with so many good teams. You would think some of those great players would want to head to the Eastern Conference to have a shot at the finals (Marc Gasol?).

My question regarding Golden State:

If you can put a long, athletic defender on Curry, can Thompson win a game on his own? Klay is a fantastic shooter, but how are his creation skills? We know Barnes, Bogut, Green, etc. aren't winning games on their own.

My other question is what are they going to do when David Lee comes back? He's still a quality scorer at power forward, but he's awful defensively. Conventional wisdom says to use him as a scorer off the bench, but then what happens if Curry is off or being locked up?

I'm not sure they have the playmaking to win playoff series against elite teams.

Klay had some ridonkilous games to start out the season if I'm not mistaking and their offense is built around finding the open man off screens, which Klay is getting very good at, so I don't know if you want to go that route.

You can't just neutralize Curry with a long athletic defender. Heck, if he is on, you can't neutralize him with 2 defenders. Do you really think that NBA coaches haven't tried this?

I do think you have to have Lee come off of the bench, for exactly what you mentioned - his defense. Seems like most back-up bigs are offensively challenged, so if he could match up with them for more of his minutes, that's probably a good fit.

I feel like this team has kept the spirit of the Mark Jackson shimmy (I still think he is a good coach), but now they have added who is proving to be an excellent technician in Steve Kerr, who obviously didn't make his living off of his athleticism. It reminds me a little bit of how LeBron had Silas teach him to rebound and Mike Brown teach him to (care about) defend(ing).

I was just on the Real GM Heat board to see how if they had accepted reality yet. For the most part they have, but it's really funny to read.

About Luol Deng: "Move him as soon as possible"

About Granger: "His roster spot is a waste"

About McBob: They are discussing a McBob and Granger for Mozgov and Arthur trade possibility. Yeah sure. Denver will jump on that. We give you our starting center for the two awful contracts you signed last summer? Where do we sign?

They are talking about being in no mans land (not competing, not tanking). So at least they don't think they will win the East any more.

Can't wait until Christmas!
