2014-15 Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wow. Correct me if I'm wrong, Meniscus tears usually take about 6 weeks to get back to normal working function after surgery.

Then again, that's assuming the patient hasn't already endured countless knee surgeries...

Edit: Nevermind. Sports recovery is several months.

WOW...

Kevin Durant, Chris Bosh, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant, and now Derrick Rose.

Looks like the Cavs have a clear path at the 2 seed but at this point I don't even know if I'd want it. I would rather matchup with any of Chicago, Washington, Toronto, and Milwaukee before dealing with Indiana and Detroit. I really think those 2 teams can win a series against anyone in the East (except us).

Not scared of Indiana at all. I agree with Detroit though...I don't think anyone wants to see that frontcourt in a playoff series. If we matched up with them we'd beat them though, it would just be a physical, draining series.

DRose can't catch a break. He was playing like crap but showing flashes and then this happened. I know its going to get hated on in this forum but this is 4 years in a row in which Lebron's team biggest threat (Bulls not DRose) isn't going to even be able to go at him full strength come playoff time.

I know that's cold, seriously, I wish him nothing but the best. But let's not pretend we're all not thinking it at this point.

Bulls haven't been LeBron's biggest threat since 2011. Not even close.

Staying healthy and longevity is part of winning.

LeBron has always taken care of his health/body. It inspires those around him to do the same and he gets rewarded for it.

Man the East is falling apart at this point. Miami makes a sick deadlibe deal, and looks to be a legit contender, Bosh is done, the Bulls long thought to be a potential finals team loses its best player, George is out too just for kicks.

Derrick, just retire. You will thank me in ten years when you can still walk. Some things are just more important than basketball, walking is certainly one of those.

Yes I know, you will be the only NBA MVP not to be in the HOF, but to be fair, I don't think you deserved the MVP anyways.

Because DRose went has been dealing with injuries. After the 2011 series even though it was a 4-1 victory for the Heat they looked like they went through hell and everyone one on those teams left that series thinking this is going to be the matchup for the next 4-5 years. Next season Bulls had the best record and DRose goes down in the 1st round. They haven't been threat thanks to injuries otherwise they would be up there each year. I am not saying they would have beaten the Heat in the past or the Cavs this year but they won't get to find out playing with a full squad.

Health is definitely a big part. That being said the last part of your post is the biggest nut grabbing I have seen in a while.

Why didn't he deserve it? Best player on the best team when his supporting cast paled in comparison to the Heat that year. Who else deserved it?

You going to tell me if Harden or Curry win it this year they won't deserve it?

As already stated, health is part of the game. At some point, the excuse should be expectation.

Because LeBron James did.

I think it was obvious, the Bulls drastically improved that year with an upgrade from the coaching staff.

Derrick Rose got the fruits of that, and the media was pissed off at LeBron that year.
