Gordon got his man now. I hope to see him up his effort level this game. Would be nice to see some actual offensive chemistry b/w a QB and a WR for once. Watching Rodgers and Nelson had me salivating last night...

"...That, and it gets Connor Shaw off of the practice squad and away from the risk of another team signing him (I’ve been told that he’s the Browns long term plan to back up Manziel)."

Manziel/Shaw as a QB tandem makes me ill. Manziel is going to miss games and we are going to have an inexperienced QB with average at best physical abilities as the backup plan. I'd rather have a Kyle Orton, Chad Henne, Matt Cassell type guy as the backup. Someone who is experienced, knows he's a backup up QB but can come in and play well enough for a short period of time.

I also wouldn't mind Jake Locker once Tennessee throws him in the trash. Locker's skill is similar to Manziel's and the offense wouldn't have to change drastically if Manziel goes down.

Way bigger problems than backup QB at this point. I'm sure it'll be addressed. Let's find out if we even have a starter in Manziel.

I'm assuming that, once we cut ties with Hoyer this offseason, we'll bring in a veteran back-up like most teams have and keep both Manziel and Shaw.

I hope you are right
