2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wonder if it would have to be a S&T with Dallas giving them Murphy and a 2nd round pick. Would be a great vet min signing if we can pull that off though.

Would be a great move to pick up a defensive ace - the sort of thing you need if the Wiggins for Love deal is true.

The nice thing about this lineup is it is by no means set in stone. It's extremely flexible...every player on this list can play at least 2 positions, with the exception of Delly and Allen.

I would consider Delly a combo guard rather than a pure point. He proved last year he could play with either Irving or Waiters.

We came along way and it definitely have to do with lebron but free agents want to play here. I remember espn so called experts said free agents would rather play with lebron in Miami than in Cleveland those days is over. I got so sick of hearing that from them and other website forums like real gm so it kind of feel great for once

Well the guys that want to come here are guys signing for vet minimums at the end of their careers, but I get your point :p

Guys that are actually worth decent money still likely wouldn't sign here, which is the same situation we had during LeBron's first go round.

So far it sounds like we got Miller at a discount, and Marion almost certainly could get more than the minimum from someone. I'd say we're off to a good start with the LeBron James Era: Take Two.

I think that was less of Delly's ability to play both guards and more of Irving and Waiters ability to play both guards

Shawn Marion was a consistent starter and played over 30+ minutes as the 3rd/4th best player on a 49-win Dallas team last year. Most teams would kill to get him to come for the vet minimum to backup both forward spots, that's a luxury that further deepens our bench. Is anyone complaining about LeBron being the GM today?

Indy should be trying to tank this year. No point in them signing Marion, other than he'll be cheap.

They should be looking at the George injury in as positive light as possible - the David Robinson/Tim Duncan tank. Robinson's early season injury ended up being a blessing for the franchise when they had a terrible season and picked Duncan at #1.

Anyone know who is sitting on Griffin's left?
