2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: 2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion (Marion watch)

Damn I love this guy. Would be a perfect fit on this roster.

The question is, what does DEN want for him. Looking at their roster, they have alot of "good" players but not many (if any) "great" players. I could see them wanting to do a consolidation type of trade for a star more than wanting to dump a piece like Mozgov for picks is the problem.

They probably also view themselves as a playoff team which doesn't help the cause.

Yeah move on people... Unless we give up a very valuable first round pick [Memphis] no way we get him at this point. The again this off-season has been so far mind blowing so you never know.

Really! We could also sign Royce White to keep West company on his bad days.:chuckles:
mental illness is not funny, sorry I just do not see any humor here.

Signing Shawn Marion Now a Necessity for Cavs After Kevin Love Trade

http://m.bleacherreport.com/article...w-a-necessity-for-cavs-after-kevin-love-trade

"Both Love and Varejao ranked in the bottom 14 of opponent field-goal-percentage at the rim in 2013-14 for all players who were forced to contest at least five shots per game. Love himself ranked 74th in the field of 77, emerging as a point-blank turnstile..."

Just hope we get it done, would give the D the boost it needs.

I concur. There is a certain portion of this board that needs some "Maturation".

I would guess that the offer for Timofey is on the table, but other options are being pursued.

Captain Obvious, signing out.

My apologies, it was in extremely poor taste.:thumbdown

Re: 2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion (Marion watch)

Marion and a rim protector and this team is complete.. still think Allen comes along too and they will shuffle guys on and off the IR all yr to get them minutes IMO.. like a Haywood.. who could still be a viable Def big if he is healthy enough to play

Re: 2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion (Marion watch)

Royce White is a walking punchline whose neuroses is dubious at this point. Carry on.

Mods- Are we sure that thanks are working properly? My posts aren't getting thanked, for some reason...

Re: 2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion (Marion watch)

I really want Mozgov. But I don't see how we can get him. Why would Denver trade him?

Maybe for guard depth if Allen doesn't sign here.

Re: 2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion (Marion watch)

Denver's problem is that they are bringing over Nurkic to play this season, and they already are paying Javale McGee big bucks (11 million per) to play the same position Mozgov does. Kenneth Faried is also going to be due an extension or enter restricted free agency. They also have Hickson on the roster. With Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari also on the books there, someone is going to be let go from the big position, and I doubt it will be Faried.

Mozgov is my favorite target, we could send them 3 nonguaranteed players and a Memphis 1st to take Mozgov off their hands. Or if we don't get Mozgov we can offer them Brendan Haywood's contract for Javale McGee. He's not as skilled as Mozgov, or as intelligent, but he can run the floor and block shots due to his freakish athleticism.
