2015-2016 Schedule Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The back to back is on October 27 and 28. On the road in Chicago and Memphis. Home opener probably not until the weekend.

If the dates are true in the tweets, wouldn't it be a back to back so no days off before the home opener.....?

Haha yep, realized this as I was scrolling up after posting.

I'm eager to see the schedule tonight. Wonder when they will let people with partial ticket plans know which games they get.

Anyone know how long the season ticket list is?
Like a wait list? There isn't one. Limited seats are remaining and often in groups of 3, but last I heard there are still season ticket packages available.

It's just an educated guess, but in exchange for these early road trips, they'll give the Cavs leeway during the other parts of the season. The normal January road trip may still happen, but we'll be given a break during other parts.

It may not look like it on paper, but the league rewards contenders. It's our first year being defined as such, give it a chance, fellas.

Yeah, of course the NBA will make it up to the Cavs. Just not the most ideal way to start the season, but it happens.

Will Kyrie even be ready to open the season? That's a tad ridiculous to have to start the season like that.

On track, but you would think they will probably think about sitting him vs Memphis.

More than half the league makes the playoffs. The Heat weren't in the playoffs last year. Sure a nice blowout against Detroit or the Lakers would be a nice easy way to start out but all in all, I expected to have the Cavs be a premier road opener for a few other teams, which seems to be the case for Chi and Mem.

After the taste of playoffs basketball together, I wonder how these first two games are played. Often the first few games of the year can have a higher intensity than most of the rest of the early regular season, especially if between two contenders or rivals. For the Bulls fans, this is a huge game for people to overreact to. If they beat us or look good in a close loss, it'll all be about how different Hoiberg is, how Thibs was holding them back, and how they can beat the Cavs in the playoffs this year. If they get blown out or lose by 10+, they'll be saying "we're screwed and we'll never get over the hump(LeBron/Cavs) + more comments of Rose and Butler needing to be split up.

In a league where every team plays every team at least once (and almost every team more than once) I've never found the schedule release even the slightest bit interesting.
