2015 Cleveland Browns Training Camp Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well that didn't take long, Billy Winn carted off field.

Congratulations Xavier Cooper, you have been promoted to 2nd string. This is why the Browns have drafted versitile D linemen heavily. It's a meat grinder throughout the season.

I feel so bad for him. It sounded like he was busting his ass in the offseason to have a great contract year.

As others have said the good thing for us is that we have tons of depth on the d-line.

Cardale making the rounds.

Terrelle Pryor shouldnt be looked at like a rookie coming into the legue and changing from their college positions. Pryor has started in the NFL that makes a big impact on his learning curve.

Pryor has ran through safetys. guages them and is familiar with their speed. He is a natural runner and understands the coverages he will see.
Pryor is a great option for the end around and I expect will not only make the team but will see about 4 or 5 targets a game.

Pryor has always been a running qb. He has the physical ability to take a hit.

Hines Ward was a rookie learning the NFL and a new position. TP is a veteran who has started and competed in the NFL.

In comparison to any other WR coming into the league and all the things they need to learn. Pryor has a significant amount of that already on his checklist.

Terrelle Pryor is a future hall of famer.
so we should only discuss potential hall of famers.?
or dopotential hall of famers are the only players who could have a positive impact on a team?

Billy Winn is hurt every year

It is no surprise he got hurt the first day in pads.

Pryor only has to learn how to return kick offs and/or punts to have an impactful role this year. He needs to show more than Benjamin, Poyer or Moore and I think he will. Expecting him to outplay veterans like Bowe, Hartline, and Hawkins to be a top receiving option at a new position would likely surpass his own expectations for himself this season.

Hartline and Hawkins are possession receivers arent they?

I dont think 4 or 5 targets a game for someone who can make the big play any time they touch the ball is the same expectation as being the top wide receiver.

If you are talking 4th receiver, it's a possibility in the second half of the season. Game 1? If he surpasses any other player in a position change to WR in the first year. I see him following a more reasonable path, that hasn't been your approach and I'm sure this isn't the time for you to start. However, I'm pulling for Pryor. He has shown more motivation to learn the craft this summer than I expected.

How many receivers will we carry? 5? 6? Who gets bumped? Maybe only carry 2 TEs and have Pryor as a hybrid?

Bowe
Hartline
Hawkins
Gabriel
Mayle
Pryor?

I don't see Pryor returning punts or kick-offs.

I don't think switching to receiver is that hard. If you're meant to play the position, the transition doesn't take too long.

Edelman could play right off the bat. He's now one of the best route running receivers in the game, and has only played the position for two full seasons. (the other seasons he was behind Welker)
