2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I will, mostly because I think LSU is overrated...best win is against a back-up QB...struggled at Miss St. and Syracuse.

Won't be surprised when LSU manages to score 10 points against Bama Saturday.

I mean you could almost write the same sentence about OSU. Best win(arguably VT on the road)included a second half against a backup QB and we struggled with Indiana and Northern Illinois.

I just see about 8 teams that are pretty similar right now.

OSU, Bama, LSU, Clemson, Baylor, TCU, MSU, Stanford, even Iowa.

All have warts. Some look a bit better than others.

Iowa at 9 is awesome. Basically confirms that we can make it with a loss as long as we beat them and MSU.

Yeah OSU will likely finish the season against two top 10 teams and Michigan will likely be around 12-15.

Great resume for the final poll.

Yeah, I don't disagree there with every team being flawed, I just disagree with the thought of having no qualms over Bama potentially leap-frogging OSU next week if they win in LSU, cause that will most likely happen if they win. They have a fucking loss, and a pretty poor one at that with it coming at home to a team that lost to Memphis (good team, but it's fucking Memphis) and nearly lost to a piss pour Auburn team...IMO its way too early to have a 1 loss team even close to cracking the top 4, let alone in it, and them potentially moving to #2 with a loss over a # of undefeated power 5 schools? Yeah, that won't sit well with a lot of people.

Also, Clemson is a deserving #1, but I can't help but feel that they are being set up for the biggest Clemsoning ever.

NIU with a nice road win against undefeated, ranked Toledo.

Couple people i know from HS that go to Clemson are acting like they just won the National Championship. Lol...

They will win out. Then get beat in the 1st round.

I just don't think Alabama has enough good wins to jump ahead of the undefeated teams. All of their wins are against teams that have been beaten by someone else. Then you throw in the fact that they lost at home? I'd take Stanford's road loss to Northwestern and their win over UCLA ahead of Alabama.

Now, it really won't matter because if they win out there will be at least one spot open for a 1 loss team. Even if, say, TCU, OSU, and Clemson win out, those will be the only remaining undefeated teams out of the power 5 conferences. So Alabama, assuming they can win out, will be measured against other 1 loss teams.

But this year the SEC bias is pretty real. I think it's wrong to just assume that a 1 loss SEC team should get in over a 1 loss team from any other conference. This year, for the first time a while, the conference is not that good. They didn't build up an impressive non-conference list of wins. And if at seasons end the ACC pelts the SEC in their rivalry games, then that should ding almost every SEC team. Particularly if Florida State beats Florida. That should have a negative impact on how almost every SEC team is viewed.

Alabama has to get by LSU this weekend (which by the way, just saw it was an 8pm game too. Will be nice to watch that side by side with the Bucks to root against Bama) and then get by @MSST. That is no cake walk, either.

I don't care who makes it out of the SEC, as long as it is not Bama

Targeting rule is a goddamn DISGRACE.

TCU getting demolished by OKSt

MSU in serious danger down by 1 with 17 seconds on a awful no call that gave Nebraska a td.
