2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hey, remember when I said LSU was overrated, would put up 10 against Bama and lose, and all of a sudden it looks like the best win in the country? Hope everyone is excited for #2 Bama with their terrible fucking loss.

Considering the Buckeyes' bid last year, we can't really complain. :chuckle:

The Buckeyes were 16th in the intial CFP poll and behind all the undefeated teams...meanwhile Bama is #4.

Their schedule has been much more difficult than ours was at this point last year as well. I think the committee has done a pretty fine job of getting the right teams at the top.

I want to see TCU beat Baylor now, and the teams be declared co-champions for the 2nd year in a row. That would be fantastic.

My issue is the loss they have cancels out anything else they have done...even if you believe they are 1 of the 4 best teams in the country, put them behind the undefeated P5 teams and when those teams lose, then move them up. Them being ahead of undefeated power 5s with a loss, and now with this win against a very, very overrated LSU team with that #2 next to their name, it puts them in position to make the playoff over an undefeated power 5 team, should there be 4...which pisses me off a bit.

Edit: I don't think it is possible to get 4 now...but still the point stands, they should be behind the likes of Clemson, Baylor, Okie St, Iowa, and us until those teams lose.

I think the top 4 teams should be the best teams in the country. That's why OSU deserved the bid over both Baylor and TCU last year, and why Florida St. barely deserved to get a bid, despite being undefeated. Who would you take on a neutral field right now: Baylor or Alabama? Clearly Michigan State wasn't up to the task... I think there are 3 teams who are justifiably at a high level right now: Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama. As long as those teams keep winning, they deserve a bid, even if Alabama has a loss on their schedule.

I agree with this, but it should be the best 4 teams in the country at the end of the season...put Bama behind the undefeateds and if they are one of the best 4 teams, they'll be in it at the end of the year...right now, hell no. Right now, I wouldn't take Bama over Baylor on neutral field...best offense they've played so far is Ole Miss, and Baylor is on another level than Ole Miss...and we all know what Ole Miss did to them.

I do think Bama makes it, and I do think Bama is one of the best 4 teams in the country, but I wouldn't have them in the top 4 right now...its essentially telling me losing doesn't matter to the CFP committee right now.

I think Clemson is looking really good. Even if they lose one of their next 3, I think a 1 loss ACC champ Clemson team makes it.

Still think the P12 is the odd man out right now. Unless one of the B10/B12/ACC champs has 2 losses, they'll be left out.

Also, saw somewhere that Michigan State still controls their own destiny for the B10 East. They very much do not. If they and Michigan win out, Michigan wins the B10 East.

How? They'd both have 1 loss in the East and Michigan State would have the head to head.

Shit, you're right. I'll edit that right out like it never happened.

Lol I just got back from the OSU game and saw the replay. MSU got completely fucked.

College reffing looking real bad this year.

Remember when Fournette was better than Zeke?

Oh wait, he never was.

Navy could very well control their own destiny for a New Year's day bowl bid. Their only loss is to ND, they just picked up a win of undefeated and 13 ranked Memphis, have undefeated #25 (soon to be higher) Houston down the road, and will get a matchup with #22 ranked Temple in the AAC championship game assuming they win out.

sidenote: It seems like Keenan Reynolds has been at Navy for 20 years.
