2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Another "Game of the Century" in The Shoe coming soon.

MSU OSU should both be undefeated.

MSU will be tested against Michigan. Harbaugh has already starting making his presence felt with the makeup of that team.

Nebraska will be a test for them as well. Nebraska is a hail mary and OT int away from being 3-0. Better than their record, imo.

As for OSU, yeah it looks pretty easy. Maybe Penn State makes it tough in primetime.

Indiana, Illinois, Rutgers, Western Michigan are all worse than NIU. Which means we can play like shit, at least on offense, and still win.

Dear Michigan,

OSU, Michigan State and Notre Dame are ranked 1,2 and 6 in the AP while you are unranked.

And you still suck.

Also, how is USC ahead of Northwestern in any poll?

I may be wrong, but MSU being ranked #2 is the first time a Big 10 team (other than OSU or Michigan) has been ranked 1 or 2 since...1994 Penn State...lol

Not counting Nebraska while they were in the Big 12...

1994...lol good god. There have been a few other B1G teams that got to #3 but never higher since then.

Dudes can legally drink but haven't seen a Big Ten team ranked 1 or 2 outside of OSU/Michigan :chuckle:

I think you can say the same thing about the ACC, only just include Florida St.

Pac-12 might be worse...outside of USC and Oregon.

And Penn State was #1 in 1997, so that 94 year can't be right.

And the top 5 is just that...OSU vs MSU should be a special game.

Bama is a spot ahead of Oregon though, which I hate...Bama lost at home to a worse opponent.

They did, but Alabama has the best win out of the two. So what do you reward more? And considering how Oregon's defense has given up a lot of points in their other two games against bad teams, I'm ok with Alabama being ranked ahead of them.

The Coaches, however, have lost their minds. Somehow USC is ranked ahead of Northwestern and Auburn is still ranked. That's just really, really poor.

Yeah, I couldn't believe those two rankings. Auburn has proven quite well that they aren't a good team, at least at the moment.

I also don't know how BYU got dropped for losing by 1 point on the road to the 11th team in the country.

Here's why I'm not okay with it. 1, I don't think Wisconsin is that good...think they're overrated. Nice win, in a neutral site dominated by Bama fans mind you, but not enough to overcome my 2nd reason. And that's losing at home in the manner that they lost. The score made the game look closer than what it was, but Alabama looked bad and outclassed for most of that game, and that's a no-no to me when you are playing at home...

And you want to talk about Oregon's defense...Alabama just gave up 43 in Bryant-Denny to a QB making his 3rd career start. What is Fournette going to do to that defense. Or Chubb and Georgia. I can honestly see Bama with 3 L's in the regular season this year. Just don't think they were very good coming into this season, especially with the loss of most of their receiving corp and no legit QB. A good offensive and defensive line can only get you so far...ask Bielema about that.

And just remember. The Coaches Poll made up 1/3rd of the BCS rankings...goddamn that was a terrible system.

I think South Florida was as well at one point.

They were, and so was Kansas. That 2007 season was crazy. Undefeated Hawaii in the BCS. Kansas, South Florida, Boston College, Cal, and West Virginia all in the national title hunt. UConn was a top 10 team at one point. West Virginia was one close heartbreaker of a game away from a national championship appearance (which would've been against Ohio State).

Kansas had Aqib Talib and BC had Matt Ryan. South Florida didn't even have anyone of note that I'm aware of. West Virginia had a nasty rush attack with Pat White, Steve Slaton, Noel Devine, and Owen Schmidtt who was such a badass at Fullback. Cal didn't have Rodgers or Lynch, but they had DeSean Jackson, Jahvid Best, and Justin Forsett.

07 was the year people thought George Selvie was going to be the 2nd coming...he was ridiculously good that year. They also had Cleveland Browns great Carlton Mitchell, as well as Nate Allen, Tyrone McKenzie, Terrell McClain, and Mike Jenkins. Their defense was pretty good.

And so much happened at the end of the season.

Bradford got hurt and Oklahoma lost. Dennis Dixon got hurt and Oregon lost. LSU lost to Arkansas in their last game of the regular season (still made it in). Ohio State lost to Illinois (still made it in). Missouri lost to Oklahoma twice that season. West Virginia lost to Pitt.
