2015 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Haven't seen it mentioned, but Luigi Rodriguez has been banned 80 games for steroids. At least he is trying harder than the big leaguers.

Bobby built himself up a huge fan base with LC, they'll surely miss him.

I've been to 2 games and his cheers are so much louder than the norm.

Might have to catch another one to see him chasing LC history. Cool shit.

Bobby Bradley: 24 HR
Santana/Brantley/Gomes (top 3): 27 HR

LC is a hitters park, 320 left and right, 400 center. The homeruns may be a little inflated.

But at least it's expected.

But the Jobu bobblehead head game he crushed 2 homers to center.

Bradley leads all of A ball by 5 HRs. Of the top 5 HR hitters in A ball, 3 of them are 22, one 20, and Bradley 19. Safe to say we have the best teenage power prospect in baseball right now.

Will be curious to see how he fares in the Carolina League, which is typically dominated by pitchers and a tough setting to hit HRs.

Also, he might break records in AAA with how short the lines are in Columbus

I hope he doesn't make it to AAA, or at least be there enough time to break records, just a cup of coffee then on to the show.

Our power source we desperately need is within, just needs some more fine tuning.

Bobby Bradley doesn't care about records, but no matter how he feels about them, he's probably going to break a few before the season ends.

The Indians' No. 7 prospect slugged a grand slam, homering for the fourth straight game and powering Class A Lake County to a 5-0 victory over visiting Quad Cities on Saturday.

After striking out swinging in the first inning, Bradley came up with the bases loaded in the third and pulled a pitch from River Bandits starter Joshua James (5-3) over the right field wall at Classic Park.

"Just wasn't trying to do too much with the ball," Bradley said. "Drive the ball into the gap and score some runs."

"He's having good at-bats across the board," Captains manager Shaun Larkin told The News Herald. "He got a pitch to handle in this game, and he handled it."

The 19-year-old first baseman has been nothing short of spectacular over his last 18 games, going deep 10 times while driving in 33 runs. The stretch has allowed him to take the Midwest League lead in both homers (24) and RBIs (80).

"I'm feeling pretty good" he said. "I'm feeling a lot more confident."

Bradley's recent power surge also has moved him into second place on Lake County's single-season home run list, four behind the record Ryan Goleski set in 2004. He's also tied for fourth on the single-season RBI list with his manager, who did it in 2003.

"Personally, it doesn't matter," the 2014 third-round pick said of the records, "as long as I get to get out there and play the game I love."

After hitting 11 homers and driving in 37 runs in the first half of the season, Bradley has 13 roundtrippers and 43 RBIs since the All-Star break. He credited hitting coach Larry Day for keeping him prepared.

"I'm seeing the ball consistently," he said. "Me and Larry are working every day to make sure I'm prepared for that night's game."

The Captains totaled only six hits, with Greg Allen delivering an RBI triple and Grant Fink scoring twice.

Lake County starter Jordan Milbrath improved to 4-10 after scattering six hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings. David Speer and Luke Eubank finished off the Captains' sixth shutout of the season.

Jason Martin reached base twice for Quad Cities.
