2015 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bobby Fuckin' Bradley is the name and hitting homeruns is his game.

Best power hitter this system has seen since the three headed monster of Russell Branyan, Scott Morgan, and Danny Peoples in the late 90s at Columbia, GA and Kinston.

Naquin1-4 with a double and a walk in his first game back from his concussion. Excited to see what he can do when he comes up in September.

Likely won't be among those who get called up, IMO.

Wow, really? That'd be pretty disappointing, no?

And if he isn't part of September call-ups, he's definitely not going to be in the plans to start next season.

Sort of terrified of what CF/RF is going to look like on opening day next year.

I don't think those plans were going to include Naquin. He doesn't appear to be ready for that kind of jump IMO.

I'd expect him up at some point next year, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Indians spare themselves the 40-man move in September.

They clearly like Almonte as well.

Like I said - terrified of CF/RF to start next season.

Yep.

I think it's a placeholder until they're ready to call up Zimmer.

Can almost guarantee they'll go out and get a Chris Denorfia type player on a low money deal as a bridge. A veteran who can play all three OF spots.

I wouldn't be looking for Naquin to plug any holes in RF/CF. That guy's ceiling is 4th OF. That bat isn't going to play in an MLB outfield.

If they just add a Denorfia / Austin Jackson type and then cobble-together the other spot w Almonte/Chiz/Sands etc, it's going to be awful.

Don't want to trade a starter to do it - but would love for them to find a way to bring in an Ozuna or someone to "fix" one OF spot. Then you can afford to cobble-together the other spot until Zimmer is ready.

But not even including Naquin in that group is just depressing.

Well the guys they're currently looking at are Almonte, Sands, Chiz...so Naquin still probably better chance of being a decent MLB player than those guys.

Definitely think they'll go after a "big bat," in some capacity to man the RF spot. But I think a guy like Denorfia is the only type they're certain to sign for depth purposes.

There just isn't a lot out there, they're going to have to get creative to add another bat.

Think the Carrasco rumors were real? Really, really against moving a SP - and especially Carrasco. I don't think the offense is so broke that they need to kill the SP depth to fix it.

Also sort of wonder if guys like EGon, Bradley, JRam, RPerez, Kaminsky have any value. Wonder if you could put together a package that didn't include Frazier/Bradley and still get something decent in return. Probably a pipe dream.
