He's going to throw absolute gas when he fills out (if he ever does, he could just go with the Chris Sale physique), right?

Choice hit the GW 3 run double in the 8th for the Clippers. He's 2-6 with a HR, a 2B, 4 RBI.

Shawn Armstrong struck out the side and has struck out 7 of the last 8 men he's faced.

Yandy Diaz had 2 more hits and now has a .307/.404/.395 slash line, with 74 BB & 62 K.

Mike Clevinger tossed 7 innings of 1 run ball & lowered his ERA to 2.92. He's walked 39 & struck out 131 on the year and over his last 4 starts, has tossed 25.2 innings, allowing 5 runs & 16 hits while walking 4 and striking out 26.

Bobby Bradley hit #27 (88 RBI) and is now hitting .320 with 14 HR & 45 RBI since July 12.

Silento Sayles went 2-6 and is 4-14 with 2 doubles since being promoted to Lake County.

Justin Garcia threw 2.1 scoreless innings, lowering his ERA to 1.75. He's allowed 6 ER in his past 39.1 innings.

Luke Eubank tossed 1.2 innings of 1 hit ball (2.60) with 2 more K's. He has walked 9 while striking out 48 on the year.

Cameron Hill K'd 4 in 2 scoreless innings (1.66) and has struck out 64 in 54.1 IP on the year.

Erick Algarin (3.21), with 2 more scoreless innings, has allowed just 1 ER over his past 9.1 IP. He's walked 1 & struck out 14 over that span.

Triston McKenzie has now allowed 1 ER over his first 12 IP, allowing just 4 hits & 3 walks, while striking out 17.

Mike Clevinger has certainly inserted himself into consideration for a future big league role. Probably gets shut down soon though, already around 140 innings on the year, after only throwing 100 last year in his first full pro season.

Also note that Bradley tacked on 4 Ks to o with that HR. Pretty sure he has passed Russell Branyan's A ball K total.

Edit: OK, Bradley is at 140 Ks in 99 games. Russell the Muscle had 120 Ks in 70 games his first A full season go-round. Had 166 Ks the next season in 133 games- to go with 40 Hrs. 97 and 98 were his best years in the minors, as he posted 1.000+ OPSs and got the Ks down to a point that would today be considered acceptable. Curious to see if Bradley has the same success. Branyan was both ahead of his time a little and probably too stubborn, hopefully Bradley can make the adjustments that Russell didn't ( and get the shot Russell didn't after he left here).

Trey Haley, with his scoreless inning, lowered his ERA to 1.62 since being promoted to Columbus (though, 16 BB/16 K in 15.2 IP)

Bryson Myles went 4-5 and hit for the cycle. He now has a slash line of .273/.366/.439. He is hitting .385 (15-39) over his last 10 games and .330 since July 16.

Bradley Zimmer stole 2 more bases (9 in 37 games since being promoted to Akron)

Ronny Rodriguez (.284) went 2-4 with his 10th double. He is now slugging .511 on the year.

Jeff Johnson (1.19 ERA) got the final 2 outs and has allowed 1 ER over his past 21.2 IP (Since 6/14), allowing 8 hits while walking 9 and striking out 27. He has not allowed a HR all season and has allowed 4 HR in over 151 career minor league innings.

Eric Haase went 1-2 with 2 BB and has raised his average to .244. He's now hitting .347 over his past 21 games.

Luis Lugo started and got the win for Lynchburg, lowering his ERA to 4.14. His last 5 starts: 31.1 IP, 8 ER (2.30 ERA), 24 H, 5 BB, 24 K... His last 7 starts: 40.1 IP, 30 H, 8 BB, 33 K

Robbie Aviles tossed a scoreless inning and has allowed 3 ER over his past 19.2 IP and 4 ER in his last 24.2 IP.

Jared Robinson started for Mahoning Valley. He tossed 6 shutout innings and is working on a scoreless streak of 25 innings. Over his past 4 starts, he's thrown 24.2 IP (0 ER) and has allowed 12 hits, walking 8 and striking out 16.

All this k talk has me actually wonder...

Would anyone actually complain if you took Bradley's k rate and total stat line and just put it on our mlb roster?

Vast minority, but if I guy hits me 30 dingers a year but strikes out 5/10 at bats and hits 250, I won't be mad at all.

You're right. If we took his numbers and put them in the Indians line up, we'd all be ecstatic. However, the talk about his k rate stems from the fact that he's accumulating these K's against low-A pitchers, and that makes long-term success against more advanced pitchers questionable.

I would take Bobby Bradley's current .271/.356/.541 slash line no questions asked. There are only five guys in the entire American League with an OPS above .900

Lynchburg:
LeVon Washington went 3-4 with a pair of 2B (10), raising his average to .261. He has also drawn 4 walks and struck out just once in his last 4 games.

Yhoxian Medina drove in a pair (22) while going 2-4, pushing his BA back up over .300. He is 6-11 in the last 3 games.

Clint Frazier broke a 3-23 skid with a pair of hits (.281).
