2015 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Paul is the only one that really showed up for the Clippers. And he didn't play like you want him to.

Jordan wasn't too bad.

Everyone else came up small though. Griffin needed to be the best player on the floor in this series, and he simply wasn't in this game.

The guy is really gifted, but he's just not mentally tough.

This Clippers team is just as talented as any other NBA team. They are incredibly fragile mentally, though, and also are not built the right way. The team is incredibly efficient on offense but cannot make a three-point shot to save their life. On top of that, when Jordan is out they become incredibly inefficient on offense. They'll definitely need to re-tool, assuming they do lose this game, before next season.

No/Memphis/Houston vs. Boston/Chicago/Atlanta to me is a wash as far as difficulty goes.

If they beat a Lebron team in the finals (regardless of who else is playing) they will have earned the title.
I get your point, I guess I’m just saying I’m disappointed in the strength in the field of playoff contenders this year overall, due to circumstances or otherwise. After Love went down and and the Hawks NY nightclub situation, GS was the only team in the field without any clear exploitable flaws.

Coaches don't choke, players do. Every player on the Clippers, maybe, and I say maybe outside of Paul, is just mentally fragile. They unravel easily. They've been like this much of the year.

They are talented enough to win a title, but the psyche of the team is so fragile.

Not sure how that's a coaching problem, although I agree Doc has always been limited, and heavily relied upon with great veteran teams, along with some outstanding assistant coaches.

Doc is just a good coach, not a great one.

Well Doc should stop bitching to and about the refs. That shot has gone to the players that even the 12th man complains. He's part of the mentally weak culture

Sign me up on the Doc is overrated but still a decent coach.

He won with a stacked Celtics team that featured 3 hall of famers, I don't consider him great at all. Lucky to be the guy in charge.

Disappointed in CP3 as well, he should of went LeBron James on Houston from the shoot, if he played aggressive play after play and set the tone, maybe the team would follow and we have a game right now. Tip your caps to Terry and Pablo, they somehow got a pass.

Clips pushed it down to 8 with 2 mins left, so it’s not a done deal yet...

Completely disagree here. This is the same guy they came back with a hamstring injury (just see how limited Gasol was with one), and won his team the game, against the defending champs.

Paul is definitely physically tough, sometimes he struggles to keep his composure. But I think the biggest problem, is its really hard for guy that's just 6 feet tall, despite how good Paul is, to just dominate enough to win a championship.

Paul can score, but he's truly a pass first point guard. This is where the Clippers needed, and it was looking like Griffin was taking his game to the next level, but went back to being not relied upon in big games.

I know Griffin has 20 points, not playing horrible, but it definitely feels like an empty 20 points in this game.

Paul has 26 with just 3 assists, that's a bad sign. It's just hard for small guys to dominate the game offensively, and win titles in this league. It just doesn't happen.

His teams just don't win. He's a great accumulator of stats, but the next team to win anything with Chris Paul as their best player will be the 1st.

All of the things you said are true, but the difference between a "Good" and "Great" player is that the great player will find a way to will his team to victory at some point along the way.

There is a difference though between guys like Paul/Love/Melo and Lebron/Kobe/Duncan.

If you aren't good enough to be the 1st option on a championship team you aren't a great player. Very good all-star level, sure. Just not great.

What a bullshit bail out call by the refs. Come on, Harden is a fucking joke. Falls down and gets it. You fucking blow, you bearded looking homeless money beggar.
