The Cavs did that when they won the ECF.

Maybe you misread my post? I said it's fine if you actually win a League or World Championship. But this would be akin to the Cavs going champagne and goggles after beating the Celtics. Seems ridiculous doesn't it?

It's absolutely ridiculous to party like that after each round on top of making the playoffs (even the wild card game which hardly counts). The baseball unwritten rules are so archaic and tiresome.

I have no problem with a bat flip. It just means we get to see a beaning and benches clear. Exciting.

That's not really an equivalent situation at all.

Why do a lot of pitchers grow their hair out long? Is it just part of the fashion or is there a better reason?

Yesssssss....deGrom, Syndergaard, and Harvey vs. Schwarber, Bryant, and Rizzo

Winning the first round of the playoffs in each sport is somehow not equivalent? Do tell.
Significantly more teams make the playoffs in the NBA. A first round win doesn't get you into the Final 4 teams like it does in baseball. Plus, the fact that there's legitimate parity in baseball adds to the emotion of winning each series.

So, like I said, those two situations are drastically different.

So celebrating after the 2nd round in the NBA with champagne, goggles, and tarps in the locker room would be fine? You made it to the final 4 after all.

10 teams make the MLB playoffs.

Legitimate parity in baseball? Said nobody ever.

Also, drastically? Skip Bayless called, he wants his job back.

There is legitmate parity in baseball when you get to the playoffs, and if you don't believe that, we're watching completely different games.

That batflip is the equivalent of mobbing the court after a gamewinning series clinching shot. Only, well, he did it after the team fought back from 2-0 in the series, and after the team decided to play the game in protest. The only reason that anyone got mad, realistically, is because they were about to lose. You get pissy when you lose, and baseball players get pissier than anyone in any sport.

We aren't talking about the bat flip.

Bat flips should be mandatory after homers and big hits

10 teams make the playoffs in the MLB compared to 16 in the NBA, that's a huge difference.

If there were actually parity in the NBA then yeah, but there isn't. I have no idea how you can argue that there isn't parity in baseball, there simply isn't a decent argument to the contrary.

They are drastically different situations. A more similar comparison would be if the Royals took down the White Sox in a 7 game series. Nobody would care then.

I get it, you're anti-fun. I just have no problem with people celebrating their accomplishments.
