2015 Season Opener -|- Indians @ Astros -|- April 6th, 8th, and 9th

Some overreactions on the hitting right now...

Indians have a .133 BABIP and 73% of their outs have been put in play. Beyond stats, eye test just shows me they've hit the ball hard and have some good ABs.

Just the way the ball has bounced so far IMO.

I Mean in all fairness...it's been like 2 games. :chuckle:

And oh...... the new jersey is black.

They explained after the game last night that the color is "midnight navy", which now matches the cap color they've had for several years. I like them.

I'm probably the only fan who doesn't have a problem with the attendance. Works well in two ways for when I go to the games: 1) ticket prices are outrageously low on the secondary market (just paid $22 per ticket for 14 rows directly behind home plate), and 2) I hate people. Win-Win, stay away from the ballpark.

So dumbed down, how does arbitration work?

It's like going to court to figure out a salary. The player and his agent will submit a $ figure for the upcoming season, the team will submit another. The arbitrator then picks the figure that makes the most sense with regards to a players production and service time. More production and more time = more money, less production and less time = less money, etc.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to find my way to at least 5 Tribe games this summer. I live in Columbus and am a college student so it's not the easiest thing in the world, but the prices are so dirt cheap it'd be a crime not to. Plus I'm originally from Chardon so I come home for a few days, see my parents and friends or whatever, hit a Tribe game or two, then jet on back to Buckeye City. And like I said, the tickets, man you can't beat these prices. Now they have the standing room with a free drink? Goddam. I'll be there.

Brantley is probably questionable for Friday.

Let's get the series this afternoon, gentlemen!

We already have the lead, 3 pitches in.
