It's everyone's pick right now...guy is having a ridiculous year...best player on the best offensive team in the league, who also happens to be leading their division, while playing 1+ WAR defense. His to lose to Trout...the only 2 possibilities right now.

Could, not would. We still have a month of baseball. A continued hot spurt by Brantley, and/or a cold spurt by Donaldson changes thing fast. I don't think anyone has the award wrapped up yet. Trout looked destine to win it, and he's gone cold as fuck, and the Angles have struggled.

But I don't seriously think the Indians are getting the wild card spot.

You realize Donaldson would essentially have to go hit-less in September for Brantley to catch up to him on most of the stats that are now widely considered for MVP voting, right? The difference between 7.3 WAR and 3.6 is monumental....I don't even think Donaldson going 0-fer in September while Brantley producing at his normal rate would allow Brantley to catch him...Donaldson and Trout are on another planet this year. And Brantley isn't even going to have a better year than he did last year, when he didn't win MVP.
