2016-2017 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They've been frustrating to watch this year. I think they do have talent on the team. For whatever reason, it hasn't translated to success on the court.

I really thought this would be the year these guys gelled as a unit but the lack of focus in-game coupled with the ridiculous lack of leadership problems being aired out publicly tells me this is Thad's last year as a head coach.

It's a shame b/c i was rooting for him this year and i am an avid supporter of Thad. I just think he's lost something over the years. Could be due to his health, not sure what to think. I thought the addition of Chris Grant on staff this year was going to do wonders for us. Instead it was one of the most underwhelming seasons i've experienced as a fan.

I really thought we had a potential Sweet 16 team at the beginning of the year.

Different season if Keita doesn't get hurt, IMO.

Think they win at UVA, beat Purdue, and beat Maryland at home with him healthy, which would have put them in the tourney.

Probably could have swung some of the other last minute losses they've had this season too.

Team had the makings of being where Minnesota is at this year (22 wins)...I think Keita was on his way to establishing himself as the best all-around player on the team, which really hurt them this year when he went down.

Thad returning as coach next year...

They should...

Right...and they should have this year as well...but you can't predict the guy I think is their best all-around player missing 2/3rds of the season.

Need their wings and guards to stay healthy next year. Potter, Thompson, Wesson, and Bell bigs rotation looks very nice right now to me. Just need Tate, Bates-Diop, Williams, and Lyle to stay healthy all year, while Wesson and Jackson hopefully progress as players. Could be 10 deep like they used to be in Thad's glory days, where they could pressure the ball hard all game long cause they had the bodies to throw at teams.

If he doesn't make the Dance next year, he needs to go, no matter what.

This is his last shot before getting kicked outta the door w/o his bra.

100% agree. Chance to kickstart the program next year, along with the Ohio crop of 2018 recruits...

If they can't, we need someone else to develop and coach that group.

Give Thad a vote of confidence...

Lose to Rutgers in the Conference Tournament.

Impressive.

CBI tourney will be banging this year
