2016 College Football Lines/Gambling Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Love the Under 57 tonight in Texas, Notre Dame.

Both teams have questions at QB.
Welp.

Looked like it was going that way for awhile, though.

In on FL ST giving 6 points.

What a second half from FSU...Deondre Francois balled out in second half (started finding rhythm in second quarter).

I think mamma Aguayo musta been having an affair with a Gramatica the way she produces kickers.

Gonna be a good finish. Chad Kelly is like college version of Brett Favre.

This game can end anytime now...

Wanted to open this up for anyone who wants to post lines they're taking or whatever.

My picks:

Locked in:
Temple -17 vs. Army----loss
West Virginia -9.5 vs. Mizzou----win
UTEP -7 vs. New Mexico St.----win
FSU -4 vs. OleMiss----win
Boise St. -20 vs. ULL----win
FIU +9.5 vs. Indiana----loss
Iowa -27.5 vs. Miami (OH)----loss

Leans:
Bama -10 vs. USC in Arlington----win

7-6 in a marginal Week One

Week 2 card:

Wyoming +24.5 at Nebraska

That ought to do it.

Ended up going Syracuse on Friday night -24 over Colgate. That one covered, but barely. Forgot to get my picks locked in early on Saturday as I was caught up in the excitement of college football being back and pregaming for the OSU game. By the time the afternoon games were about to start I just said 'F it' as I wanted to enjoy the rest of the day's games stress free.

My only other bet this weekend ended up being FSU -5. Jesus, after that first half I was telling myself I'm not getting involved with this shit again. Well, guess who's excited for week 2... :chuckle:

In comparison to this weekend's matchups and what's on the horizon for week 3... this Saturday's slate looks pretty meh overall, to say the least. Ohio State at -27 against Tulsa looks promising after their drubbing of BG (I wish I bet my life savings on that one lol), but Tulsa has a pretty underrated offense. I wouldn't be totally shocked to see our young Buckeye team riding a little high and overlook Tulsa a bit with Oklahoma on the horizon.

Tulsa is definitely a pretty solid non power five team.

Lot of experienced offensive talent there.

Any of these jumping out at you as good plays?

USC -16.5 vs Utah State
Iowa -15 vs Iowa State
UNC -9.5 at Illinois
Louisville -14.5 at Syracuse

At first glance I like:

ECU +4.5 vs NC State....this will be a very tight game so I like the 4.5 points.

SMU +32 vs Baylor....SMU can put points on the board. They won't hang for four quarters but I don't think Baylor wins by 4+ touchdowns either.

TCU -7.5 over Arky is tempting. Arkansas was a mess last week and TCU looked pretty sharp with Kenny Hill at QB. The half point scares me a bit...

Similar to the ECU pick, I like PSU +6. I feel like Pitt and PSU will both be ground and pound in a low scoring game. I like the points in that game.

Iowa in particular, shocked it's that low although the two teams have played some close games in recent years.

They're a really good team, though.

Louisville I'd like more if it weren't on the road, and knowing Dino Babers is a solid coach ATS.

UNC makes a ton of sense at Illinois, especially after getting some road experience. Their offense is still loaded.

I don't trust USC, though they should bounce back after a crushing loss and maybe the spread isn't reflective of how talented they are.

Wyoming +24.5
Youngstown State +24 at WVU
Texas -28 vs. UTEP
Tennessee -11 vs. VT
Oregon -24 vs. Virginia
Florida State -38 vs Charleston Southern
Georgia Southern -13 at South Alabama
MTSU +4.5 at Vandy

NFL:
Broncos/Carolina U21 1H
Carolina -3

Leans:

OSU -28 v. Tulsa
Purdue +6.5 vs Cincy
USF -13 vs. Northern Ill.
