2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not even going to watch, yesterday's win put the Browns on the outside looking in.

Anyone down to set this guy up for a sting with some hookers and blow?

So who should we be looking at for the Browns to draft once they win enough games to not get a top qb or top 5 pick?

I'm guessing Farmer will take a DE or a RT (joking.. kind of)

Obvious caveat is "it depends on where we fall".

Here are some players from a recent list: http://thebiglead.com/2015/07/09/top-50-players-in-college-football-for-2015/

If we can't get Goff (we can't - we don't suck enough), I want a linebacker. I haven't seen enough of these players to comment, but until we can consistently stop the run, it's going to be hard to play the chess match.

Jaylon Smith OLB Notre Dame
Jalen Ramsey FS Florida State
Robert Nkemdiche DL Ole Miss
Myles Jack OLB UCLA
Kenny Clark DL UCLA
DeForest Buckner DL Oregon

FWIW, Hackenberg has had a couple of good outings in a row. His stock seems to be rebounding. Jacoby Brissett might be someone worth a look in the 3rd or 4th round. The Browns were in on Todd Gurley before the draft last year so I think Zeke Elliott or Derrick Henry could be in the picture for them this year. I'm not a huge fan of taking a RB in the 1st round. Clark and Buckner are the top run stuffers in the draft and Nkemdiche is a freak of nature. All of them can play the 3-tech for the Browns. I don't expect the Browns to take a WR in the 1st round.....

Watched that video (which was the first real stuff I've seen of him), and your P Manning comparison undersells his running ability. He reminds me of the Johnny sort (I know you love that :chuckle:) in that he scampers (neither super fast like RGIII in his heyday nor big enough to take on multiple guys like Big Ben or Luck). Dude's a special thrower though, despite the mistakes in the last game.

damn you guys beat me to it...Paxton Lynch is a stud...now I dont feel as bad if the browns win some games

Connor Cook has made some fantastic throws throughout this UM/MSU game.

Some incredible touch throws downfield by Cook. Is there any hard evidence about character concerns, or is it all just hearsay right now?

What's sad is that this exact scenario is what is required apparently to make a QB prospect desirable to this team's owner and FO.

With Jacksonville being as bad as they are, Goff is back in play
