2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm still hanging on to the dream of pairing Mingo with Scooby Wright.

NO. For what its worth (RIzzo and Grossi claim they had him 1 on the draft board for QBs)
Farmer insists it was his choice. But, I get the feeling it was Haslem that messed up. I think Haslem realizes how poorly he handled the situation. With Teddy we would be talking about going 9-7 this year.

Derek Carr was #1 on their board according to LaCanfora.....

I did a little research on Carson Wentz, the highly regarded QB at North Dakota State. Here's what I found out:

North Dakota is indeed a state. It's not one of those bullshit schools trying to trick you, like Ball State or Murray State. So feel confident in your 5th grade social studies class referring to the state of North Dakota, a real actual state.

Next, I'm going to watch the the guy actually play football.

While i agree North Dakota is actually a state, (unlike Kent), he is trying to fool you by having two last names and no first name.

Being in AZ i talked to Carson Palmer and he is pissed that Wentz is trying to steal is mojo.

Solid prospect.

Has really good touch to the sidelines and can really drive the ball. Being that big with quickness can really put him on a lot of people's radar.

He and Paxton Lynch are both guys who really shouldn't move like they do given their size. Breaks the mold a little bit.

The process this local guy used to guess the Browns' 2015 draft targets yielded impressive results: LINK

What are your thoughts on Cook, @AZ_?

Need to see some development from last year to this year.

Mediocre tools across the board, with the exception of a pretty good arm and an IQ that will probably beat most others coming out this year.

Sold as an early round guy, but I'll need to see the next step before he vaults into the Top 10 IMO.

I went to high school with him. He was absolutely abysmal at Walsh. No clue how we got to this point. Nice enough guy, though.

Not his biggest fan. He doesn't do anything that really impresses you. He's got a decent arm and adequate measurables, but I can't see him being a guy that goes out and wins you games. Reminds me of Nick Foles.

Rather see what a guy like Hackenberg can do with actual talent around him. And of course the unlikely dream of Cardale taking a huge leap and becoming a legitimate top prospect. Because who doesn't love that clown? :chuckle:

Cardale Jones won't be starting this year.

He missed his chance to ride the hype train. Probably will cost him in the end.

WR Corey Davis from Western Michigan is tearing up the Spartans. Earning rave reviews from the draft guru's on Twitter. He's a junior this year....

It's the 6AM hour on a Saturday in early September and I'm checking out CBS Sports 2016 NFL draft rankings, specifically QBs. It really is a chore to be a Browns fan.

I did this a few days ago.

Sigh.
