It's never too early to start! I like Trump and think he'll lose to Hillary in the end. Instead of voting on those pesky little things called "issues", I see tons of women voting for Hillary because she is a woman. You might get some men crossing party lines to vote for the GOP candidate, as well, but I am unsure if that offsets the other side.

Why I like Trump: I share a ton of the populist viewpoints that he does, and the crony capitalist cycle has to be broken. The cycle, simplified, is rich people & corporations buying political pull that benefits and entrenches those donors. The democrats call it "republican economics" and the republicans call it "democratic economics". I call it "shady". If there is 1 person who has spoken vociferously against it, and can afford the campaign $ to break this cycle, it is Trump. Most of the rest of the American problems are symptomatic of this one issue. If you give a damn about this country, it has to stop.

So please keep it (relatively) civil, and keep this a safe place. We have a lot of sub-30 year olds on this site, and I would like to have them feel like they can have opinions and ask questions and care, so let's get this party started!

Bernie Sanders is growing on me. I don't like anyone else running. Not even a little.

Trump? Um, No.

Clinton? NO

Bush? NEVER

I like Trump running, not because i would vote for him in a million years, but he is pure comedy.

Oh I agree, he's hilarious.

Sadly though, out of all the republicans. I think I like him the most. That says how little I feel about the republicans in general.

I'd choose Trump over Bush. No doubt about it.

I don't want to offend any right wingers here, I'm not a liberal, I'm independent, but I almost never side with any republican.

They just blatantly lie constantly. It's not like liberals aren't liars either, sometimes you can get a sprinkle of truth from them.

I'm looking for candidates that are going to be least tied down by their party, and share a lot of the same views of mine.

Sanders I'm really liking. He's not even truly a democratic and I feel that alone I can trust him more.

The little i know on Sanders i have liked. I havent really picked anyone to back and haven't watched to much on it. I am curious to see if Mitt tries to get back in or if he is sitting this one out.

I think Mitt said he's done. Joe Biden is looking to run, which I think would be great (not because I want him to win) because he could put a dent into Hillary.

My viewpoints are very liberal, so I'm never going to vote republican just due to party platform. Of all the Republican candidates though, I'd be the most comfortable with Jeb in the oval office.

I'm not thrilled with Clinton, but I know shes going to be the Democratic candidate barring a catastrophic scandal. I love me some Bernie Sanders, I have for years, and I love seeing the grassroots support for him grow. However, I don't believe the general electorate is in a place where they would accept his economic viewpoints and I don't really think he has much of a shot to win the nomination, even though he is getting my primary vote.

I think people are fed up and ready for something different.

It's why Trump is doing so well in the polls, even though he's basically a loud mouth comedian running for president. (I will not miss ONE DEBATE with him though, he's pure entertainment)

I think Sanders has a legit and real chance to do it. Favorite? Nope, but it's early.

I am not that confident Clinton will pull it off. And Sanders is the clear cut favorite, outside Biden to get the nomination.

I think America is really turned off by republicans. It's mainly why I think Mitt got beat. It's not because everyone was so happy with Obama, he just seemed like the lesser of two evils.

I'm a bit more jaded and cynical than you it seems when it comes to politics, but I blame my poli-sci degree and failed campaign experience for that :chuckle:. I hope you are right, but once Bernie gets into the debates and people start throwing around the word "socialist", my fear is the general electorate will be turned off.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.

If Bernie somehow got the nod, I'd be dancing in the street.

I am just excited because I usually don't like many of the candidates, and I really like this guy. I think he's the real deal. I wish people would wake up and stop falling for the old same patterns.

I even love how he's even raising his campaign funds.

Not every political is a crook, just 98% of them.
:chuckle:

I am just going to roll my eyes in disgust if this becomes Bush vs Clinton.

I am sorry, I've had it with those candidates. They're the same to me.

Bush v Clinton.

This 1992 election will be interesting.

Oh wait.

Candidates I like: Rand Paul
Candidates I don't like: everyone else

There are a lot of different policies being followed, but I think one that needs to be taken into close account is prison reform. That's a bigger deal than I think people realize.

Personally I've become more liberal.

But I refuse to vote for Hilary.

Whatever Republican opposes her has my vote.

Unless that person is named Rick. (Santorum or Perry). Then I'm moving back overseas.
