If Trubisky is in that conversation to be drafted that high, the Browns better look long and hard... I understand Garrett is looking like a can't-miss, but you can't afford to miss on a top flight QB who is very good, has played in the Cleveland weather, and who wants to play for the Browns.

I like Trubisky but I think he needs another year at UNC under his belt before he goes pro.

He needs another year just in reps, but considering he's pretty much guaranteed to go in the first round now - plus I believe I read he's set to graduate - all signs point to him declaring.

This isn't 2017 but may want to keep an eye on this:

UCLA Quarterback Josh Rosen Probably Out for the Season

"Rosen experienced a severe shoulder sprain against ASU, which has resulted in some nerve damage in his shoulder.

The type of injury is a potentially serious one, with very little method to determine if the shoulder will regain healthy nerve activity and the time frame for recovery. Other quarterbacks who have had a similar injury to Rosen's have had a wide range of recovery results, with some returning within several weeks, and others being out for a more extended period. Some quarterbacks with a severe version of the injury have had to eventually undergo surgery for symptoms that arise from further complications, which could lead to a recovery of multiple months. It has also led ultimately to the end of some quarterbacks' careers."

He missed the last 2 games, for those who don't follow him to a T.

Milk that shit Rosen

Yeah, as the season has worn on, there are a lot of guys with upside but not one stand out who has a great mix of upside and experience.

Best defensive player at #1 overall and then maybe you trade up from the Eagles pick if a QB slides that you like.

I just can't see them taking a #1 overall QB in this draft unfortunately.

Updated Mocks: (11/7 - post week 9)

SB Nation - Kadar:

1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M

With a core of Garrett, Emmanuel Ogbah, Danny Shelton, and Carl Nassib, Cleveland could load up on young talent up front on defense.

19. Cleveland Browns (via Philadelphia Eagles): Teez Tabor, CB, Florida

The Browns are in the midst of deciding whether Cody Kessler is their quarterback of the future. If they pass on a quarterback with the first pick, would the fourth one picked but that great of an upgrade? Potentially, but given Cleveland's vast amount of needs, a player like Tabor would be attractive, too.

B/R:

1. Garrett
20. Dan Feeney - OG - Indiana

CBS - Brugler:

1. Cleveland Browns
DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame:

The Browns' search for a quarterback of the future continues with Robert Griffin III being placed on injured reserve, and Kizer could be a name high on their list with his intelligence, poise and physical tools at the most important position.

21. Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia) Sidney Jones, CB, Washington:

The Browns' secondary has been routinely torched this season with upgrades needed across the board. Jones has the instincts, ball skills and fluid athleticism that transitions well to the NFL.

His team just lost to Navy and is now 3-6. There's no excuse for a No. 1 draft pick QB to have that crappy a record.
.

Not that your wrong, but i can think of 8 better reason to not draft Kizer number one overall.

Hint, number 7 rhymes with Lady Flynn.

He's also got a 60% completion percentage. That's Brady Quinn-esq.

UPDATED (11/8) CBS SPORTS - RANG

1. Cleveland Browns

Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama: The quickest way to turn around a franchise is to find a star quarterback but as fans in Cleveland know all too well, early picks invested in the position are far from a guarantee of success. On the other hand, Allen -- the best player on the best team in college football -- might just be the safest prospect in the draft. The 6-foot-3, 292-pounder offers unique position versatility to go along with the production and intangibles the current regime prioritized in draft picks last spring. Stout against the run and a proven pass rusher with 19 sacks in his past 24 games, Allen would help solidify a defense that currently ranks dead last in total yards allowed.

17. Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia)

Zach Cunningham, ILB, Vanderbilt: Hue Jackson and his staff deserve credit for an improving offense. The defense remains a quagmire, despite several premium draft picks being spent on the unit in recent years. With the need for an edge rusher filled with the trade for former New England Patriots standout Jamie Collins, the Browns could double down at linebacker with the explosive Cunningham.

(TAKING OVER SIDNEY JONES, KING & FEENEY)

Zach Cunningham is going to be Pro Bowler for someone. The Browns taking Collins from New England makes it less likely to be them, but I'm holding out hope.

He's just unbelievably good, and so undervalued for his position.

The best pure LB in this draft, ahead of Raekwon and whomever else.

Why is Raekwon so highly rated? I always come away from watching him thinking he's very solid, but not special. Whether it be lack of elite athleticism or superior instincts or whatever, I just don't see him making the type of incredible plays that a Pro Bowler will make.
