2017 Free Agent Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Think I saw Bell, JPP, and Ingram are getting tagged too. Not that I think the Browns would really be targeting those guys.

A bit unrelated, but AB got paid as well. Pitt must really be trying to maximize whats left of the Big Ben window.

Sounds like Eric Berry will, indeed, be franchised. :(

Cousins tagged and Berry finalizing 6 year deal. Top FA targets are disappearing before it ever began.

@AdamSchefter: Texans not expected to use franchise tag on standout CB A.J. Bouye, per source. Doesn't mean they won't re-sign him; just no tag.

The Bills won't use it on Stephon Gillmore, either. Corner market may start hot, but there is going to be value to be had. Would be surprised to see the Browns not come away with one of the guys still in their 20's.

Well, one guy is off the CB list. Was with Williams on the Rams.

I wonder what this means for Dontari Poe? Perhaps he gets franchised? KCis in a really tough cap situation over the next few years. I had a post in this thread a couple months back. I don't think the Chiefs can re-sign Poe without cutting/trading multiple guys. They'd have to clear a lot of room now and in the future in order to be able to sign him long-term.

Poe did not get franchised AFAIK.

I think the focus here is on really high character guys. Guys that have been to the post-season and have played for winning organizations.

It's all about building that culture and locker room for such a young team like this. Precisely why I was so happy they decided to go with a complete rebuild this time around.
