2018-19 Season Game #3 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks | October 21st, 2018 @ 6:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not even mad bruh, Love stinks out of the shoot but collecting stats. He stayed for the money. Gilbert wanted to be loyal to the guy and pay him what any other team wouldn't.

It's going to be a long time before Cavs basketball is back. I despise the Warriors everyday for ruining us.
Log it into the Dan Gilbert fuck up book.

Just don’t like that everyone praised the move because Love was “loyal”. He wanted the cash and Dan jumped on board with whatever he could to try to spin some positive vibes toward the Cavs after the LeBron exit. It was an awful move and I said it from the get go but I got shit on constantly. But whatever, the tank will have plenty of fuel in Cleveland for the next few years, hopefully we can draft well.

I really wanted Ty Lue to be good...

Like I genuinely thought LeBron made him do all this dumb shit at times and was hopeful that Lue might actually be ok if given the ability to install what he wanted...

GUESS NOT.

Of course Fred with the BS ass kissing response, "it's a team with a new offense, we knew there would be growing pains" followed by Campy, "well the good news is we need to find out what we need to find out"

We need somebody in here immediately that will work with Cedi/Sexton/Nance and get the most out of these kids. We have NO offensive or defensive game plans ever. This cancer will spread quickly if not removed now.

I don’t know what to do about Lue?

Do we let him drive the tank, or find someone who knows how to coach basketball?

It hurts my heart to watch these guys play such bad basketball and learn such bad habits.

If he can consistently get these kinds of results with a roster like ours I say you keep him around, with the caveat that he lets Sexton drive to the basket at least 15 times per game.

If Campy and Lue had a conversation in public I'm pretty sure people would assume it was two people who were in fact intellectually disabled.

We have to get rid of him if he's going to continue to put the guy we took a #8 in positions to fail. Sexton's development is too important to leave up to chance. I would see if Lue just wanted to agree to step away from the team for his "health". Let Larry Drew run the tank for the rest of the year with a front office mandate to start Sexton at PG and give him the keys no matter how ugly it may get at times. Trade the veterans you can get something back for and move on into the future.

He was pretty effective and successful at forcing things in college because he actually was allowed to have the damn ball.

If you want to ignore the importance of rhythm especially for young guards, that's on you. It's game 3 and his coach is basically committing coaching malpractice. He plays most of his minutes as an off-ball 2 guard with ballhogs of the highest order. If he continues to play this role, I am confident he will continue to fail. He needs the ball or he will never reach even close to his full potential. That shouldn't even be a controversial opinion, to be honest. It's just a fact. He's not a great player off the ball and doesn't have the skill-set to be effective in that role right now.
He also drew a ton of fouls in college. I’m not sure it’s realistic to expect him to draw them at this level. He was also a poor finisher in college.

I’ll agree with you though and do think we should give him the ball and see what he can do. I’m just not very hopeful.

I see my other team, the Thunder, are about to go 0-3 now, losing to the freaking Kings.

This is about to be the worst basketball season ever for me in 25 years as a fan. 2015-16 was glorious; now it's basketball hell. :(

Cavs gave up 40+ in two different quarters.

35 and 11 for Trae Young.

16 and 11 for Alex Len.

We really can’t stop anyone or anything.

Lue is definitely the worst coach I've ever seen.
Most of the time it feels like he's not even watching the game. It's obvious we don't prepare for our rivals and don't play to their weaknesses. We don't even play to our strengths. What we did in training camp is anybody's guess. Played HORSE? Dunk contests? Who knows. We sure as shit didn't work on taking advantage of the roster we have or developing a viable defensive scheme.

Byron Scott was pretty bad.
