All things Post draft, FA, Summer League, Training Camp, and on into the upcoming 2018 -2019 NBA season.

Wherein 29 other fanbases wish non fatal catastrophic bad luck against the Warriors.

One thing I just watched that was interesting, although totally unrelated to the 2018-2019 season is that David Griffin on one of the post draft broadcasts said straight up that Dallas traded for the draft rights to Giannis’s little brother with signing Giannis in 2021. Makes complete sense too. With Dirk being a lifer and now Doncic on board, Cuban realies that’s the calling card of his franchise. To build around the top international stars.

If Milwaukee can’t get past BOS and PHI in the east over the next three years, it all lines up.

Watch, the Mavs will make sure their payroll is structured so they have easy access to full max room in July 2021

As a side note, they also have Jaleel Cousins, DeMarcus’s cousin, playing for their G League team. Coincidence?

Melo opts into his massive contract with OKC. Crazy to think that could have been with the Cavs had we made that move. That's an anchor of a contract.

I’m curious how Trae’s game will translate to the NBA. He sees the floor, he shoots so well. But he’s so god damn small (stubby limbed) and not a freak athletically.

What good is range if you aren’t a threat to drive?

ask Curry...was significantly slower than Trae.

Oh you mean because he lacks size to finish well at the rim? If so, he has a very efficient floater. And he will always be a threat to drive because he is such a good passer...he will force rotations.

Yeah, he’s gonna be good. Can’t delude myself otherwise.

Ben Simmons - Rookie of the Year

Congratulations for winning the award after spending an entire year with your squad, allowing you to learn your teammates, attend walkthroughs, and get used to the initial grind of the NBA season, even without playing a minute.

Donovan Mitchell's season was so much more impressive to me that it isn't even funny.

You should only be able to win ROY in the season after you were drafted, unless you were a stash player like Osman.

Now get in the game thread.

MVP voting is a joke. Cavs would be one of the worst teams in the league without LeBron while the Rockets would still make the playoffs without Harden.
They gave it to Harden halfway through the season and nothing LeBron did after that mattered. People felt like it was Harden's "turn" to win. If I knew how to post pictures I'd post the one that shows LeBron being better in every statistical category this year.

LeBron should probably have 3 or 4 more MVPs and 1 or 2 more rings.

That would have solidified him as the GOAT....although he could probably still get 3 or 4 more MVPs and 1 or 2 more rings.
