About time. Been holding on to him on my fantasy bench all season
Same here. I've been getting killed in saves all year (doesn't help that all my other relievers got hurt almost immediately)

Glad the Twins didn't snag Kimbrel. Their fans have been clamoring for him all year since their bullpen has been their biggest weakness.

Cubs needed a reliever pretty badly too. All they've really got back there this year is Cishek and Kintzler.

David Ortiz shot in the Dominican Republic today/tonight. He's apparently out of surgery and doing "fine".

There’s video of it for the curious. And also the alleged shooter getting his face kicked in.

I understand it's home, but why these players return to the DR is mystifying.

If Papi can get shot there, anyone can get shot there.
They target rich athletes on purpose. So not quite if Papi can get shot, anyone can.

Its tough, because they escaped so feel an obligation to their home and to give hope to the kids, but it is so dangerous for these athletes to return.

Ortiz often times goes back to the DR to help his fellow countrymen and tries to make life better for everyone there as best as he can. He is an easy target since he is easy to recognize and hopefully going forward they can figure better way to stop things like this from happening.

Looked less like an attempted robbery and more like an attempted murder/hit, to be honest.

That is what some news outlets are now reporting.

If I were a rich athlete there, even when doing philanthropic stuff, I would probably have a large security detail just in case.

Though I wish the Indians took my off season advice and brought in Hunter Pence since he is killing it for the Texas team, that really is overachieving right now. They are in second place in the Wild Card hunt right now in front of the Indians, how long do you think they can keep it up with an old roster and very little starting pitching?

Twins down 6-1 going into the bottom of the eighth inning. Scored three in the bottom of the eighth and two more in the ninth. Extra innings.

Unreal.
