2019 Browns Off Season/Roster Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's hard for me to decypher how big a part of the AB situation is on AB and how big a part of it is on the Steelers organization/Big Ben, etc.

Emmanuel Sanders—who would know—has some things to say on the subject.

This is a great watch, but if you’re limited on time, I recommend the 8:00 minute mark.

Thanks a lot, this is great, great insight from Emmanuel.

The big question is still whether taking AB out of Pittsburgh, removes the issues as well. Obviously AB hates playing for Ben and with very good reason. You'd like to think that coming into a more stable organization with a stronger leader in Mayfield is going to alleviate a lot of the issues you'd associate with AB, but AB is still AB. He's still the guy that quit on his team, whether it was justified or not.

At this point, I think you snag him up if he's available. The talent, competetive edge and work ethic is simply too high not to consider it. That being said, I can totally understand the trepedation people would have with bringing him in. For me it's a question of trusting Dorsey, Baker and Freddie with providing an environment that will keep AB happy.

Can’t be stressed enough.

Like, how do people think that’s going to happen?

I didnt wanna be a dick but its shocking that it is even being discussed.

Can you imagine how much it's going to suck next year when the Browns have waited so long to make the playoffs and us fans are going to have to wait until after the bye week to finally see them in a playoff game?

Brown is 31 and on the decline. I wouldn't even want him.

I mean, y'all spent the last 5 pages in draft thread bickering over whether Kyler Murray could be a good NFL QB or not, even though there's zero chance we're drafting him. I feel like discussing the AB situation is equally valid to discuss, honestly.

Anyone watching this Pats game today could understand why I’d like to pay Trent Brown many millions of dollars to protect Mayfield.

Sign Trent Brown
Sign Grady Jarrett

I personally hope we retain Robinson. I thought he did pretty good.

I would say the Browns have a higher chance at drafting Murray to backup Baker than trading for AB.
