2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also, Cajuste is probably, at minimum, 4 years younger than Harrison.

Next year's 1 plus depending on where you want to go, most likely.
It really depends, but I imagine it’s more likely to be a future #2 than a #1.

Last year, the Ravens traded #52, a future #2, and a pick swap of 4th round picks (only 7 spots) to get pick #32.

The Ravens traded up with the Eagles to select Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. For the first time since 1999, five quarterbacks were selected in the draft's first round. In order to move up, the Ravens sent their 52nd, 125th picks and a 2019 second-round selection to Philadelphia in exchange for the 32nd and 132nd selections this year.

That was even to come up for a QB, which changes leverage in favor of the team trading down. In this year’s draft, the trading party may not have a 1st round grade on anyone in the late first and really desire to slide back.

Dorsey himself has traded out of the late 1st while in KC. In that case, he went from #28 to #37 for a 4th round pick and a swap of a 7th round pick for a 6th round pick.

The Chiefs traded their selection, No. 28 overall, and their seventh round pick (No. 249 overall) to San Francisco for the sixth pick in the second round (No. 37 overall), a fourth-round pick (No. 105 overall) and a sixth-round pick (No. 178 overall).

We are at #49. If we are trying to get up to 27-32, I’d imagine we’d pay a similar mix between these deals. It would probably start by offering #49, #119 (4th) and a 2020 3rd.

If that didn’t work, the most I would offer is #49 and a 2020 2nd. And that entirely depends who is there falling, of course.

If the Browns are really working to make that run in the next 2-3 years, they'll need the 2nd rounders to help add depth. Now isn't the time to be trading twos to move up.
Sure, I’m well aware of the value of cost-controlled picks over the next several years now that we have a core.

That said, if someone is falling—say a corner like Williams or Baker—and we want to come up to get him to pair long term with Ward, that gives us 5 years of another top cost-controlled corner.

That’s a huge advantage as top corners are usually heavily compensated, and we wouldn’t have to worry about paying our top corners for 4 years. Having the both of them locked up is nearly as advantageous as having our QB cost-controlled.

I would only move up in the right circumstance, but I can see it happening if it all falls right and Dorsey believes in a guy that he couldn’t get otherwise. I was merely exploring the cost of such a move.

So, should we talk about Jachai Polite?

Maybe the worst workout off season of all time?

Havent heard, how bad?

catastrophic. Interviews went horribly, he was defensive about questions pertaining to his flaws, revealed that he doesn't study film of himself, he was supposed to clock in as one of the elite athletes of the class and came in out of shape and tested horribly.

In my opinion, Cajuste is the second best run blocking tackle in this draft... and he is a left tackle quality pass protector.
Could he harbor any resentment over the Browns cutting his brother Devon?

To add to this his pro day performance was worse than his combine and his combine was massively disappointing

He's lost millions of dollars in the past month. It doesn't make sense because he's a terrific functional athlete, but something must've gone completely off the rails for the combine and he's having trouble re adjusting. The mental side of the ball is what it is, you have to deal with that regardless of the shape he's in, but someone somewhere must have given him just the dirt worst guidance for the draft process.

If I was him I would fire my agent at this point. Even if some of it is on Jachai his agent has to do a better job at preparing him for it.
