2019 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mike Budenholzer still lacking as a coach in playoffs time just like he did in Atlanta... Getting outcoached by a rookie headcoach and imho he had a better lineup

Warriors are American champions again?
Well, really, all the players who are playing for Toronto are American so.....Canada can try to claim the Nba is theirs if they somehow win it all, but we all know thats a joke. They can have the NBA for a year though if they manage to beat GS. Ill be singing Oh Canada myself if they pull that off.

The more i watched that series though the more i think Toronto had the better lineup. Something was just lacking with Mil. Not sure if it was talent, heart, coaching. I pictured both teams vs GS and to me Toronto has more weapons vs them than Mil.

Question. Im guessing now that Toronto won GS gets their little homecourt advantage back? Havent looked but im assuming they had a better record than Toronto.

Meh, I expect his tune to change very quickly as Golden State absolutely steamrolls them en route to a four game sweep.
Why does he act like a player? I mean, will he be in the team photo if they win it all? I honestly couldnt name one Drake song. They zoomed in on him when Toronto was going to win more than Kawhi. I think i saw him drawing up a play during a timeout. Its obnoxious.

I think the Bucks really screwed up by giving Bledsoe that extension. They could have went out and tried to get an upgrade Bledsoe. Paying someone like Kemba would have made the Bucks alot better.

Houston with a team led by James fuckin' Harden and CP3 got two games. Lou Williams' Clippers got two.

Toronto has a better record than all of them, including GS. And has the best player in the game right now. Matches up actually really good against GS. And just beat a team that won 60 games, four straight times.

I have no idea why so many keep acting like GS is going to just steam roll them, when Durant is on record of not even going to play start the finals. That's like a BIG deal!!! This isn't Dame's and CJ McCollum they're going against. They're going against Kawhi Leonard, a completely different animal.

I mean, sure, I'm not saying it can't happen. But I'd be pretty damn surprised if they literally sweep Toronto.

GS will probably win the series, because they're just cunts and always do with whatever mojo shit they got going on. Green, Iguodala, Livingston, or someone even like Jordan Bell will probably grow a second dick and play out of their minds and above themselves.

Seems they always get a guy you don't expect to start playing like they were injected steroids plus a cheat mode to get them through.

But Toronto is not dog shit though. If they just eat through Toronto like nothing, then the league is hopeless.

Nope.
Toronto: 58-24
GSW: 57-25

This gives them a chance. Playing in that area gives them a boost. That crowd literally lifts them up at time.

I remember it being pretty tough playing there our first time going through them to the finals to win it all. Guys like Lowry just really, really play better there opposed to on the road.

If Durant doesn't even make it back, which I think he will. Which will be good for a few reasons.

If GS is doing good without him, I believe inserting him back will fuck up their chemistry. And I doubt Durant will just instantly be right. He's not good enough to go start the finals. So he can't be right. If he comes back, he'll probably not be himself.

And that happens, again, I really believe he takes away from the role players A LOT. And even Steph and Klay to a lesser degree, but especially Draymond Green. Draymond Green playing really well fucks everything up. Because he makes them so dangerous when he's engaged, but rarely is when Durant is there.

I don't like going against the Warriors when they're all engaged. They're pretty dangerous.

Obviously if Durant is firing on cylinders, and Steph and Klay are still playing at all-star levels. They're almost impossible to beat.

I'm at least hoping Durant comes back, isn't right (which seems likely at this point), and fucks up their comaraderie.

GS probably would be smart not to bring him back at all, if they get up in this series early. I'd just roll with Steph, Klay, and Green. Especially if they're all clicking. No point in bringing back a non 100% Durant (if he's not right) risk fucking it all up.

If they're down, then yeah, fuck it, you got nothing to lose.

Durant is ready now, he is just butthurt and will return after a loss. He wants to be needed. He was hurting them before, especially Klay.

I really underestimated Toronto. Kawhi has been fatigued and not quite as dominant as he was earlier in the playoffs, but the other guys really stepped up. Tremendous defensive efffort. I feel like Milwaukee has a bit more talent but they cracked just a little and that was enough for Toronto. Those last couple of half court possessions for Milwaukee in Game 6 you could really see they didn’t have the championship edge, their system wasn’t quite working under pressure.

Draymond is going to try to injure Kawhi, he is more fragile than Lebron. Hope he gets some good rest before the Finals as you can see he’s fatigued and they lean on him hard.

Agreed on every word you said. Growing second dicks, lol. They really are the Patriots of the NBA. Get to the big games and guys you have barely ever heard of start playing like All Pros. Luckiest team ive ever seen in regards to injuries to. Durant couldnt have got hurt just a little bit later in the Playoffs so he really is out for the season. Hell, they are even saying Boogie Cousins might be back. And watch, somehow Kawhi's calf will get much worse in game 1. Five years of this shit.

Matchup wise Toronto is a much better team. And they've been playing their asses off on defense. The people here are going to be incredibly annoying but it's going to be much better basketball. The Bucks were so one dimensional, and if their shots aren't going or Giannis is off, it's game over. Raptors had two guys who could guard/slow down Giannis one on one. The Warriors have at least one guy who can do the same. Raps have enough players to make life difficult for the Warriors, but if OG is back that'll add another wrinkle to the game. It really all depends on if the supporting cast can show up for the finals like they did games 3-6. If Van Vleet continues to play this way, the series is going to be pretty good.

Bruh hasn't played in 2 years and just casually takes them to the Finals

He actually does have an official title with the team. Pretty sure he's considered the team ambassador.
