2019 NFL offseason thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've encountered some really awful booths in the past. (The NBA team of Green/Van Gundy/Jackson) but that one is...the gold standard now.

An absolute disgrace that any of those clowns was on something like MNF.
In my lifetime, the MNF booth has had Dennis Miller, Tony Kornheiser and last year's abomination.

If there is one crew that should always been top notch, it's MNF.

Mindboggling.

I grew up a fan of Dennis/am a fan of Dennis. So my stance on him is rather contrarian to quite a few people I would imagine. I liked it. But I'm in the minority with this opinion and can understand why it didn't work.

I can see what they were trying to do with Kornheiser. (Cosell II) It...just didn't work.

Those two were also assisted by having some great talent around them. Al Michaels, Dan Fouts likely helped the Miller games be a bit more bearable for those that were not fans. Mike Tirico and Jaws did the same with Kornheiser.

There was just...nothing redeeming about the booth.

I've never seen someone try to push a group of people that should be calling NC State-Duke at noon as someone worthy of calling say, LA Rams-KC Chiefs last year.

start fresh ESPN. Cut the dead weight.

Yeah, last years MNF crew made Fowler & Herbstreit look amazing...

ESPN needs to get its shit together.

And on that day Antonio Brown and I became best friends.

Damnit, didn’t know that was a hoax. He really did say a couple things about Tomlin from the couple minutes I saw.

Didn’t think this needed clarification...but you guys realize that “quote” above is fake, right? :chuckle:

This was what was really said:

“The type of guy he is. He feels like he's the owner. Bro, you threw the shit to the D-lineman! What the f---? I'm over here wide open! You need to give me a better ball!" Brown said. "But it's like in the league, you're going to have a guy from the team that'll be like, boy, you can't say nothing. I need you to get out there like, but it's like why I got to be acting? At least ask a … ask a [expletive] how he feels first. Right or wrong. Right? Then if it don't matter how I feel, then f--- it then, why am I here, you know what I'm saying?"
