Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
People bashing Manziel for enjoying life. :chuckles:

Let me just tell you, Johnny wouldn't be able to keep up with me.

I already dont care about any of the stuff reported daily on this guy. It gets old in a hurry. I would like to hear the argument that dry-heaving before practice trains your body to respond better to game conditions though.

I partied 52 straight weekends after turning 21... It's called college.

Understood but you were in college and my guess is had no where near the responsibility he has. He no longer is a college student. He's the face of a billion dollar franchise and he's making millions of dollars to be that. With that comes a responsibility and an obligation to your employer not to make a joke of yourself. It's a pretty low bar mind you but he seems to be coming in well below it thus far.

I was just responding to Tornicade, but I honestly don't think Manziel can even avoid this exposure. He's extremely famous so anywhere he goes, people are taking pictures and videos of him when they see him (even he's just out to eat at Chipotle). TMZ is on a JF hunt every weekend and is likely paying a lot of money for any of the pictures/videos of him partying.

He definitely needs to tone it down, but the media is also blowing this out of proportion. These pictures wouldn't be so bad if he was just out smiling at the bar with some people, but the fact that he looks shitfaced on swans or chugging out of huge champagne bottles is the main issue I have.

He clearly isn't bothered by any of this attention and almost revels in it, and that's the exact type of personality you want out of your quarterback. He's the player that isn't going to be intimidated by defenses so it will be fun to see if he can become a success despite all of this preseason nonsense.

I'm still doing that at 29. I think they call it alcoholism now, though. Moving to Charlotte has had a very adverse impact on my liver. :chuckles:

Dang. I might have to add Charlotte to my list of free agent destinations when I graduate college.

You should. It's all young people, hot chicks, and bars. Very dog friendly, too.

Also, half the people here are from Ohio, so it's like you never left home. :chuckles:

yeah, 2 of my friends who graduated last year from UT moved to Charlotte, said they love it.

Fans are talking on two sides of their ass with this issue. They're saying he shouldn't be the starter, but is the face of the franchise.

Ya.. I was going to say.. I have 2 friends who've moved there in the past year-ish. Both seem to like it a lot. Meanwhile, Hopkins Airport just got the June record for rain... :(

No they are not. I, like many on this board, am saying he needs to earn the job as a starter and beat out Brian Hoyer. At the same time, he's a QB, a very high profile QB, that was selected in the 1st round. It is assumed that eventually he will become the starter and therefore be the face of the franchise. It may not happen by week 1 but eventually we all assume it will.

Damn. Can't ask for more from current and former Browns putting the full court press on Bronny. :chuckles:
